Sr. Sales Engineer - North America Sales Engineering
As one of our SaaS pre-sales specialists in CCaaS and UCaaS, you will join a motivated team of specialists responsible for the technical elements of the 8x8 sales cycle. You will work with our prospects and customers to understand how 8x8 can meet their requirements and become a trusted advisor on how 8x8 can resolve their business challenges.
This is an opportunity to take 8x8's products to mid-market and enterprise clients and to help achieve sales targets by closely working with assigned sales representatives and partners. You will have a customer-obsessed vision and passion for seeing where 8x8 can impact our customers and collaborating with sales representatives to deliver results to our customers. Understanding Unified Communications, Telecoms, and Contact Centers and knowing the industry are essential if you wish to apply for this role.

You will be expected to spend the first three months of your employment ramping up to 8x8 product skills and detailed engagement processes.
Responsibilities:
-Act as the technical point of contact during the sales cycle, participating in discovery calls, running customized demonstrations, understanding and providing solutions to customers’ challenges, and being a thought leader and trusted advisor while building solid relationships with prospects.
-Own 100% of the technical side of an opportunity by identifying the ones and helping the sales team convert into a potential business, understand and drive the value proposition.
-Provide direct support for the functional and technical fulfillment of RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs in their sales territory.
-Understand 8x8 system architecture, security, and technical requirements and be comfortable leading presentations and discussions on these areas with prospects.
-Keep current on competitors’ products in the market and provide feedback and input to product marketing on roadmap requirements and product direction.
-Communicate with clients by email and phone, perform client visits for presentations and training workshops, and attend trade shows & conferences from time to time.
-Manage trials, working closely with the prospect to ensure their business challenges are met and defined and trial objectives met.
-As a senior resource in the team, you would be a technical leader, maintain detailed engagement notes and documents, share experience and learnings with team members.
-Flexible schedule to accommodate travel.
Qualifications:
-3 to 5 years of sales engineering or solution engineering experience in UCaaS and CCaaS.
-Ability to provide technical leadership to the sales team.
-Ability to work remotely effectively.
-Experience and knowledge of the Contact Center / Telecommunications industry and associated technologies, including APIs & Application Integration & Network Architecture.
-B2B Pre-sales consulting experience.
-Proactive, self-starter willing to continually learn and adapt to change.
-Proven time management skills in a dynamic sales environment.
-Strong communicator, able to influence audiences both internally and externally.
-Strong presentation skills.
-Credible in representing the company to customers and other stakeholders.
-High achiever with excellent attention to detail.
-Demonstrate technical sales skills and company product knowledge.
-High initiative and enthusiasm, with creative flair and entrepreneurial spirit. Interest and aptitude in technology.

-Preferred Qualifications:Sales engineering experience in selling XCaaS solutions

*The compensation range reflects the Company’s good faith belief at the time of posting. 8x8 has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. The range above reflects the potential base pay across the U.S. for this role; the applicable base pay range will depend on what ultimately is determined to be the candidate’s primary work location. Further, individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience, knowledge, success, education and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including discretionary merit increases, bonus and/or stock. Certain roles have the opportunity to earn sales variable compensation incentives based on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
