As we build the future of the cloud contact center and unified communications space, 8x8 is looking for a strategic and results-driven Product Marketing Manager who will be responsible for gathering, synthesizing, and operationalizing competitive intelligence for the sales, marketing, and product teams.

This is a high-impact, high-visibility position where you will serve as the subject matter expert on key competitors and will help 8x8 anticipate, prepare, and respond accordingly. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated self-starter who can prioritize and derive accurate conclusions from incomplete information to help the business succeed.

Responsibilities

  • Market Insights - deeply understand and track the complex contact center landscape, and translate competitor product positioning, messaging, differentiators, financial statements, pricing strategies, and licensing models into consumable and actionable content

  • Competitive Assets - produce and maintain a library of internal and external competitive resources such as battle cards, research studies, sales guides, training materials, and executive summaries that map to core product messaging and resonate with target audiences

  • Win/Loss Analysis - dig into the data and conduct research to understand customer decision rationale for deciding between competitors, and develop tactics to improve sales outcomes

  • Sales and Partner Enablement – equip the sales enablement teams with the content and data needed to educate our field sales and partners

  • Drive Awareness, Adoption, and Feedback Work cross-functionally to identify areas to drive awareness and adoption of competitive resources, and proactively incorporate feedback to improve asset effectiveness

  • Cross-functional Ninja – be a true partner and work collaboratively across product, engineering, sales, creative, content, web, digital marketing, PR, and AR teams

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of competitive intelligence, market research, or product marketing experience in a high-growth enterprise SaaS organization

  • In-depth knowledge of cloud contact center, SaaS pricing/licensing models, unified communications, and enterprise markets

  • Detailed, results-oriented, independently motivated, and self-reliant multi-tasker; skilled at both planning and hands-on execution with minimal resources

  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information into concise audience-specific formats for sales, executives, and business partners

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to extract actionable insights

  • Experience collaborating successfully with cross-functional teams in a virtual environment, and managing external vendors

  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field, MBA is a plus

The compensation range reflects the Company’s good faith belief at the time of posting. 8x8 has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. The range above reflects the potential base pay across the U.S. for this role; the applicable base pay range will depend on what ultimately is determined to be the candidate’s primary work location. Further, individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience, knowledge, success, education and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including discretionary merit increases, bonus and/or stock. Certain roles have the opportunity to earn sales variable compensation incentives based on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.

Salary Ranges:

$132,000.00 - $220,000.00
