As a Senior Manager on the Investor Relations team, you will report to the VP of Investor Relations and be responsible for helping develop 8x8’s financial narrative, deepen investor understanding of our business, and provide market-related insights to internal business partners. You will be responsible for developing and executing investor engagements throughout the year, including quarterly earnings calls, industry conferences, and analyst and investor meetings. You’ll also work on internal-facing projects such as preparing Board materials, analyzing consensus estimates and competitor trends, and providing updates to internal stakeholders.
The position requires strong technical expertise, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a strategic mindset.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work closely with the Global Vice President of Investor Relations on developing, maintaining, and enhancing 8x8’s relationship with the investment community
Support preparation of internal and external materials, including quarterly earnings disclosures, investor presentations, management briefings, financial filings, ESG reports and surveys, and other relevant public company documents
Assist in preparing executive leadership for meetings with the investment community and provide feedback as well as post-event analysis
Contract and manage investor relations service providers for conference calls, website hosting, webcasts, stockholder surveillance, market intelligence, etc.
Manage company participation in investor conferences, including registration, webcasts, conference schedules, and executive calendars.
Proactively monitor Wall Street consensus estimates and equity research to minimize gaps between the company performance and investor expectations.
Cultivate and maintain relationships while serving as a point of contact with existing and potential shareholders and other financial community constituents
Review and analyze sell-side research, including financial models, providing executive summaries
Gather and assess market intelligence
Develop strong internal relationships with the Finance org as well as cross-functional teams across Marketing, Legal, and business units
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
4+ years of experience in sell-side research, public company investor relations, capital markets, or FP&A. Payments or fintech experience is a plus
Demonstrated success within investor relations or a capital markets function, including the co-development and implementation of strategic plans
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrates the ability to translate company strategies into transparent, clear, and concise messaging.
Strong analytical abilities, a solid foundation in corporate finance, financial and investment terminology, and expertise in building models and understanding the metrics behind equity valuation
Prior experience with executive-level interaction, along with a demonstrated understanding and communication of complex business issues and capital market dynamics to an executive audience
Knowledge of SEC laws and securities disclosure and filing requirements.
Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adjust to changing priorities
The compensation range reflects the Company’s good faith belief at the time of posting. 8x8 has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. The range above reflects the potential base pay across the U.S. for this role; the applicable base pay range will depend on what ultimately is determined to be the candidate’s primary work location. Further, individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience, knowledge, success, education and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including discretionary merit increases, bonus and/or stock. Certain roles have the opportunity to earn sales variable compensation incentives based on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
Salary Ranges:
