Business Operations Analyst – Professional Services
8x8 Professional Services works to ensure that 8x8’s customers achieve their desired goals and have an excellent experience with the implementation and usage of our UCaaS/CCaas solutions and tools. 8x8’s Services Business Operations team provides our Professional Services team with the systems, processes, tools and support that they need to effectively service our customers and achieve our financial goals. The ideal candidate has prior experience with professional services and finance with a history of consistently delivering successful outcomes in a fast-paced, demanding environment.

Detailed Responsibilities
- Set up and administer projects in Kimble based upon the professional services orders that are sold. Partner with the Professional Services team on project financial management, including revenue and cost forecasting for the regions.
- Provide regular and ad hoc reporting from our Professional Services financial system and other systems and data sources as needed to enable effective management of the business. Analyze reports to identify relevant trends and insights and make related business recommendations that promote the achievement of 8x8 goals.
- Perform operational processes in support of the global customer care business, such as PO submission, PO reconciliation, invoice validation, etc..
- Provide operational support as needed for the professional services team and other customer care teams to deliver services to our customers successfully and achieve target financial goals
- Identify improvement opportunities in our operational processes and systems and lead initiatives to achieve the desired outcomes.
- Develop graphs using MS Excel or Google Sheets and create slides to showcase metrics in presentations (MS Powerpoint/Google Slides)
- Be a subject matter expert on other systems, such as Salesforce.com, Smartsheet, Tableau etc. that support the Professional Services function. Systems may change over time. Learn new systems and their data, as needed to continue to provide this service to the team.
Requirements
- Competency with accounting and financial principles
- Detail oriented with track record of maintaining very high levels of accuracy in data related work
- Prior work with a professional services financial system such as OpenAir, FinancialForce, SAP PS module, Kimble or Mavenlink is preferred but not required
- BA in Business Administration or Finance or related field or equivalent work experience
- High level of expertise in MS Excel/Google Sheets, MSWord/Google Docs, MS Powerpoint/Google Slides. In particular, Excel/Sheets experience must include ability to effectively use advanced features such as pivot tables, complex charts and graphs, lookups, complex formulas, etc. Experience with Tableau is a plus.
- Proven team player and self starter with strong communication skills
