As a Channel Business Development Director in the UK & I region, you will be instrumental in scaling our existing channel partner ecosystem. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of the recruitment for the region, driving pipeline generation, recruiting and activating partners, and developing a long-term strategy for success, alongside the Channel leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Channel Development & Activation: Identify, recruit, and onboard new channel partners, including resellers, managed service providers (MSPs), agents, TSDs.
Regional Growth Strategy: Build and execute a strategic plan to scale the channel business across the UK & I, positioning us as a key vendor in the Market place
Partner Pipeline Growth: Supported by your territory plan, have a strong funnel of early, mid and late stage partner prospects, ensuring a strong and predictable pipeline of partner opportunities.
Pipeline Growth: Work closely with partners to generate and qualify leads, ensuring a strong and predictable pipeline of opportunities.
Partner Enablement: Develop and execute go-to-market strategies with partners, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary tools, training, and support to drive sales success.
Partner Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with prospective partners. Act as the primary point of contact, ensuring partners
Sales Execution: Support partners in closing deals through joint sales calls, deal structuring, and negotiations.
Onboarding, Enablement & Evangelism: Support partners through their onboarding journey, taking them through the enablement at 8x8 for both sales and technical.
Evangelise 8x8’s solutions and competitive differentiators. Represent the company at partner events, roadshows, and industry conferences.
Forecasting & Reporting: Manage and maintain an accurate sales funnel in CRM, providing regular updates and insights to leadership.
Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with marketing, sales, sales engineering, and product teams to deliver maximum value to partners and customers.
Qualifications & Experience
8+ years of experience in Channel Sales, Business Development, or a similar role, ideally in SaaS, UCaaS, CCaaS, or related technology sectors.
Proven track record of building and scaling a channel ecosystem in a crowded market.
Strong ability to recruit, onboard, and activate channel partners.
Experience working with resellers, VARs, MSPs, agents, Distributors & TSDs
Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and pipeline management.
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to negotiate and close complex deals.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and thrive in a high-growth environment.
Experience using CRM tools such as Salesforce and collaboration platforms like Google Workspace.
Excellent communication and presentation skills
