The Global Sales Engineering & Consulting Center of Excellence builds the technical experiences that bring 8x8 solutions to life. This role combines hands-on engineering with demo platform ownership.

You will split your time between building production-grade proof of concept integrations and designing, developing, and maintaining a scalable demo environment that supports the global Sales Engineering organization.

This is not just a demo support role. You will build real integrations, modern web applications, and AI-powered workflows that showcase the full 8x8 platform across CCaaS, UCaaS, and CPaaS.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable proof of concept integrations and demo environments that showcase the full 8x8 platform.

  • Build secure, production-quality full-stack applications using modern JavaScript frameworks, APIs, and authentication best practices.

  • Rapidly prototype integrations that combine 8x8 solutions, ecosystem partners, and AI-driven capabilities.

  • Ensure the demo platform remains reliable, up to date, and aligned with new product features and enhancements.

  • Create reusable demo assets and intuitive, story-driven user experiences for global Sales Engineering teams.

  • Collaborate with Sales Engineers, Product, and Engineering to tailor demonstrations and integrations for strategic opportunities.

  • Develop documentation, technical guides, and enablement materials to support field adoption.


Qualifications

  • Proven experience leveraging AI-enabled tools to enhance efficiency, problem-solving, and collaboration.

  • 3 to 5 years sales engineering experience in Unified Communications

  • High availability telephony and contact center architectures platform and application design

  • Ability to provide technical leadership

  • Ability to work effectively on a remote basis

  • Requires an action-oriented individual with a very strong initiative to be successful

  • Willingness to take ownership of the demo environment and account related actions

  • Must be able to coordinate across various groups and functional teams

  • Ability to complete job Responsibilities with minimal supervision

  • Demonstrate ability to implement, drive and track projects

  • Ability to apply solutions, technology, and products to a business opportunity

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills with a focus on needs analysis, positioning, business justification, and closing techniques.

The compensation range reflects the Company’s good faith belief at the time of posting. 8x8 has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. The range above reflects the potential base pay across the U.S. for this role; the applicable base pay range will depend on what ultimately is determined to be the candidate’s primary work location. Further, individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience, knowledge, success, education and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including discretionary merit increases, bonus and/or stock. Certain roles have the opportunity to earn sales variable compensation incentives based on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.

Salary Ranges:

$170,250.00 - $283,750.00
