As the Channel Sales Manager at 8x8, you will be a pivotal leader driving our indirect go-to-market strategy across Southeast Asia. This isn't just about managing a territory; it’s about leading a high-performing, remote team to recruit, enable, and scale a world-class partner ecosystem. You will be responsible for the growth of our solutions through strategic partnerships, ensuring 8x8 remains the preferred choice for technology providers and system integrators in the region. This position is based in our Manila office.
Key Responsibilities
Regional Leadership: Manage and mentor a distributed team of Channel Sales across the ASEAN region. Drive performance through coaching, clear KPIs, and localized strategy execution.
GTM Strategy & Execution: Establish and refine Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies for both sell-through and technology partners. Develop comprehensive plans to recruit, onboard, and educate partners.
Partner Recruitment: Identify and sign high-value prospects/partners. Clearly articulate 8x8’s business value proposition to ensure partners are fully enabled to sell our CPaaS solutions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Legal, and Support teams to ensure the partner ecosystem is supported by the necessary internal resources.
Pipeline & Revenue Management: Build and maintain a robust business development pipeline. Own the forecast for your region and provide regular business reviews to senior management regarding progress and roadblocks.
Negotiation & Contract Management: Lead complex contract negotiations, serving as the primary liaison to the legal department to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.
Strategic Growth: Develop long-term partnerships that align with 8x8’s broader market strategy, focusing on sustainable, recurring revenue growth.
Qualifications and Experience
Relevant Experience: Approximately 5–7 years of experience in Channel Sales or Business Development within the Technology sector (SaaS, CPaaS, or UCaaS preferred).
Leadership: Previous experience in a lead or supervisory role, with the ability to manage remote teams across different cultures (Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia).
Market Knowledge: A strong understanding of the Southeast Asian technology landscape and a proven track record of establishing channel relationships in these specific geographies.
Industry Expertise: Experience within the enterprise software industry is highly desired; familiarity with cloud communications is a significant plus.
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across internal and external organizations.
Operational Excellence: Demonstrated ability to develop channel programs that deliver sustainable revenue and scale effectively.
Cultural Competency: High level of cultural awareness and interpersonal skills; someone who thrives in a diverse, fast-paced, and collaborative environment.
