This isn’t cold-calling from a list. It’s building a high-trust, two-team motion with Ignite — one of 8x8’s flagship channel partners in Australia, selling to mid-market and enterprise customers modernising legacy communications.
You’ll be the bridge between 8x8 and Ignite’s sales floor: co-creating the joint value proposition, working warm partner data, running account mapping with their AEs, and turning conversations into qualified pipeline both sides can win. We don’t measure activity for activity’s sake. Pipeline, alignment, and relationships — in that order.
What You’ll Do
Build the joint value proposition
Co-create the joint value proposition (JVP), GTM messaging, and campaigns with Ignite’s sales leadership and our Channel Account Manager.
Translate 8x8’s Platform for CX into language that lands for the verticals and personas Ignite actually sells into.
Run the partner motion
Lead weekly account mapping with Ignite’s AEs and our APAC AEs to surface warm accounts and prioritise the right entry points.
Plan and run blitz days, prospecting sessions, and roundtable events that activate Ignite’s sales floor.
Multi-thread every priority account — three to five personas across the buying committee, every time.
Qualify properly. Hand off cleanly.
Run real discovery against our qualification framework: situational fit, challenges, business impact, buying process.
Document the Value Map and POV — the artefact that turns a meeting into a qualified opportunity, and the reason our AEs trust the leads we send them.
Hand off to the AE with manager-gated approval. We don’t create SALs on hope; every one is reviewed before it lands.
Be the face of 8x8 inside Ignite
Build real relationships with Ignite’s sellers. The best Partner SDRs are the ones a partner AE rings first, not last.
Give both sides weekly visibility: pipeline generated, what’s working, where to course-correct.
How We Work
A few things make this team different:
A real playbook, not a pile of scripts. Manager-gated qualification, mandatory multi-threading, Value Map and POV documentation. Structure exists so you can be creative inside it — not hide behind it.
Tight SDR–AE alignment. Pre-intro briefs, post-meeting debriefs, shared accountability past Stage 1. AEs treat us as peers, not pipeline vendors.
Modern prospecting, not 1995 prospecting. Psychological outreach, AI-assisted research, partner-warm data. If your reflex is a sequence and a phone, this isn’t the right fit.
Quality over volume. Twelve real conversations beat sixty shallow ones. Our SQL definition has teeth — qualification documented, sales engaged, next steps agreed.
You’re building something. What you build with Ignite becomes the template for the next partner we sign.
What You’ll Bring
Must-haves
Two or more years in sales development, lead generation, or partner sales — ideally B2B SaaS, telecoms, UCaaS, or contact centre.
Genuine fluency in structured discovery and qualification. You can run a discovery call without leaning on a script.
Strong written and verbal communication. A message that gets opened, a meeting summary an AE actually reads.
Comfort working alongside another company’s sales team — two sets of priorities, one shared goal.
Salesforce literacy. Not admin-level, but you can navigate it without flinching.
Australian work rights, and willingness to travel domestically to Ignite offices and customers.
Nice-to-haves
Experience in a channel or partner-led sales motion.
Exposure to CX, Contact Centre, UCaaS, or CPaaS solutions.
Track record of building something from scratch — a new territory, motion, or partnership.
Curiosity about AI in the sales workflow. We use it; we want you to use it well.
