The Solution Engineer will play a critical role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. Candidates must be adept at complex sales cycles with retail companies. Candidates must also be skilled at leading cross functional sales activities by engaging internal support team members and functional leaders across Professional Services, Marketing and Product Management. Daily activities include executive interactions with prospects and existing customers, conducting customer discovery sessions, qualifying prospects, responding to RFI/P’s, developing and executing sales strategies, delivering custom software demonstrations and presentations and collaborating with internal and external partners.Responsibilities

  • Partner with Account Executives to successfully identify, drive and close new business opportunities
  • Deliver tailored software demonstrations that address client challenges and goals
  • Lead technical discussions on the DemandTec by Acoustic solution and its ability to fit within a customer’s environment
  • Team effectively across the organization, pulling in resources as needed, to ensure that we are positioning and delivering a value based sales approach that results in territory quota attainment
  • Take the lead role in responding to RFP’s and Security questionnaires
  • Leverage the CRM as a sales accelerator and ensure accurate reporting


  • 7+ years of experience leading complex sales cycles
  • Experience in solution engineering for SaaS to retail companies
  • Experience in solution engineering for SaaS to the “C-Suite” of clients
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional team members and executive leadership
  • Track record of over-achieving performance objectives
  • Proficient with corporate productivity and web presentation tools
  • Experience working with Salesforce.com or similar CRM
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong collaboration and teaming skills
  • Strong listening and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent
