Saas Operations Technical Support Specialist

The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in cloud technologies, particularly AWS and Azure, and possess a strong desire to contribute to the smooth operation of our cloud-based services.
**Key Responsibilities: **
- **System Monitoring:**
- Monitor the health and performance of applications and systems hosted on AWS and Azure cloud platforms
- Identify and respond to alerts and notifications to ensure the availability and reliability of services
- Conduct routine checks on system logs, events, and performance metrics to proactively detect and address issues
- **Basic System Administration:**
- Assist with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of virtual machines, containers, and cloud resources
- Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups according to established procedures
- Collaborate with senior team members to troubleshoot and resolve basic technical issues affecting system functionality
- **Application Monitoring:**
- Monitor the behavior and performance of applications hosted on the cloud environment
- Coordinate with development teams to address potential application-related problems and provide timely assistance
- **Incident Response and Troubleshooting:**
- Participate in incident response activities by escalating and documenting issues to ensure proper resolution
- Work closely with Level 2 and Level 3 support teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical incidents
- Follow established procedures for incident ticket management, tracking, and communication
- **Documentation:**
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides
- Contribute to the development of knowledge base articles to empower users and enhance support processes
- **Collaboration:**
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, Development, and Quality Assurance to improve system performance and reliability
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure smooth information flow
**Qualifications and Skills:**
- A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Proficiency in cloud technologies, particularly AWS and Azure, including cloud services, networking, and security fundamentals
- Basic understanding of system administration concepts, Linux/Unix operating systems, and scripting languages
- Familiarity with monitoring tools and concepts, and the ability to interpret performance metrics
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools as the IT landscape evolves
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals would be a plus
