DemandTec team, part of Acoustic, is looking for a dynamic Quality Assurance Engineer. This position is responsible for collaborating with cross-functional Software Engineering teams to deliver quality solutions. The candidate should possess strong communication and collaboration skills in agile methodologies. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation built on modern development methodologies (TDD, BDD, Kanban/Agile).

Responsibilities:

  • Work with engineers to define clear test plans and scenarios.
  • Review user stories and create test cases that can be automated using modern development methods.
  • Monitor daily automated test results and investigate any failures.
  • Design and run manual tests to explore and verify features.
  • Automate test cases where possible.
  • Maintain and improve existing automation frameworks.
  • Prioritize and complete test cases on time, even with changing priorities.
  • Share updates with the team and management.
  • Promote quality assurance practices within the team.
  • Take part in efforts to standardize processes for the Quality Engineering team.



Requirements

  • Experience working with Selenium.
  • Experience working in Agile teams across different functions.
  • Ability to solve complex problems quickly with creative solutions.
  • Familiar with common web application concepts and technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL and databases (tables, relationships, schema).
  • Experience with Jenkins is a plus.
  • Skilled in using Git, GitHub, and an IDE for development.
  • Experience with UI automation and testing APIs (SOAP/REST).
  • Able to create and run test plans and document results.
  • Familiar with CI/CD, DevOps tools, and practices.
  • Experience with Cloud technologies is a bonus.
  • Experience in Retail or Analytics is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems or another related technical field with three (3) years of experience preferred.
