Role Summary

Are you a visionary product leader who thrives at the intersection of data, AI, and user experience? AdvancedMD is seeking a dynamic Head of Product, Data, AI & Experience to shape the future of our EHR platform and drive innovation across our product ecosystem. In this role, you’ll lead enterprise-wide data and AI initiatives, champion data as a product, and deliver intuitive, intelligent experiences for key user personas—physicians, billers, and patients.

You’ll be responsible for defining and executing product strategies that unify data, optimize workflows, and elevate decision-making through predictive analytics and AI-driven insights. Partnering closely with engineering, design, and customer-facing teams, you’ll guide the creation of scalable data systems, intelligent agents, and role-specific experiences that transform how healthcare professionals and patients engage with technology.

Essential Job Duties:

  • User Experience Strategy (Physician, Biller, Patient)

    • Develop and execute a data-driven strategy to enhance user experience across clinical, administrative, and patient-facing workflows.
    • Leverage behavioral, operational, and clinical data to personalize interactions and improve engagement for each user type.
    • Use predictive analytics and AI to proactively surface insights, reduce friction, and streamline decision-making for physicians and billers.
    • Design intuitive, role-specific dashboards and workflows that improve productivity and satisfaction.
    • Implement conversational AI and intelligent agents to support self-service, documentation, coding assistance, and patient education.
    • Continuously monitor feedback and usage patterns to refine user journeys and optimize outcomes.

    Data & AI Strategy

    • Champion “data as a product” and identify opportunities for data monetization and operational efficiency.
    • Architect and implement unified data systems that break down silos and enable scalable, cost-effective data and ML pipelines.
    • Lead the development and deployment of predictive models and AI-driven applications across the EHR ecosystem.
    • Own and manage the budget for data and AI platforms, demonstrating ROI across initiatives.
    • Establish and enforce data governance frameworks ensuring quality, security, privacy, and compliance.
    • Implement tools and processes for monitoring data and model quality.

    Product Leadership

    • Define and execute a multi-year product strategy aligned with business goals and healthcare regulations.
    • Lead the full lifecycle of multiple products—from concept and MVP to scale and optimization.
    • Drive adoption of AI agents and co-pilots to enhance productivity across internal and external user roles.
    • Oversee the development of agentic AI workflows using Model Context Protocol (MCP).
    • Translate business goals and technical feasibility into high-impact product strategies.

    BI & Analytics

    • Define and own the BI and analytics strategy, ensuring alignment with AI initiatives and user experience goals.
    • Evangelize the BI/Analytics platform internally and externally.
    • Drive adoption, monitor usage, and continuously improve the platform based on feedback and impact.
    • Partner with Customer Success and Product teams to deliver measurable value.

    Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Serve as a strategic bridge between global product leadership, regional teams, engineering, design, and vendor partners.
    • Build trusted relationships with C-level executives and product leaders.
    • Align diverse regional agendas while enabling local innovation.
    • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, R&D, and Support to ensure unified go-to-market strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Required Experience

    • 10–15+ years in product leadership roles, with 5+ years at Director/VP level in large-scale enterprise environments.
    • Proven success in global matrix organizations and vendor partnerships.
    • Deep expertise in multi-product portfolio management, governance, and cross-region execution.
    • Strong business acumen with a track record of linking technology investments to commercial outcomes.

    Technical Expertise

    • Expert-level knowledge of the modern data stack (Snowflake, Spark, Coalesce, dbt).
    • Extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure).
    • Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, GoodData).
    • Experience with ML, recommender systems, and marketing automation.

    Leadership & Communication

    • Exceptional stakeholder management and influence at the C-suite level.
    • Strategic thinker with operational discipline and emotional intelligence.
    • Ability to thrive in ambiguous, cross-cultural, and globally distributed environments.
    • Skilled in lifecycle thinking, activation/retention mechanics, and human-centered design.

Work Environment

  • Hybrid office arrangement to start in the South Jordan, Utah office location, with option to work remotely available. Remote work is contingent upon individual role, team structure and alignment to role KPIs.
