Manager – Software Development

Role Overview

Lead engineering delivery for an enterprise-scale, integration-heavy healthcare data platform. Own delivery, product quality, and team capability while building a new team during a transition phase, with a strong engineering mindset.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery & Execution

  • Own end-to-end delivery for assigned areas
  • Ensure scalable, reliable, and high-quality releases
  • Translate requirements into clear execution plans

Product Quality Ownership

  • Own quality of product and features, not just timelines
  • Drive test strategy, automation, code quality, and defect prevention
  • Ensure robustness in data validation, edge cases, and regulatory requirements
  • Track and improve production quality and defect trends

Transition & Ramp-Up

  • Lead knowledge absorption across domain, system, and integrations
  • Identify and mitigate transition risks and knowledge gaps
  • Establish structured onboarding and documentation practices

Technical Leadership

  • Guide system design, debugging, and integration-heavy workflows
  • Ensure adherence to architecture and engineering standards
  • Demonstrate and drive a strong engineering mindset focused on quality and system thinking.

Team Leadership

  • Build and scale a high-performing engineering team
  • Mentor engineers and drive a strong ownership and quality mindset

Operations

  • Own production stability, incident response, and root cause analysis
  • Balance feature delivery with operational reliability

Collaboration

  • Work with Product, QA, and Architecture to align on priorities and quality expectations

Required Experience

  • 10–14+ years in software engineering with team management experience
  • Strong in C#, .NET, microservices, and distributed systems
  • Experience designing and operating scalable cloud-based distributed systems
  • Proven ownership of delivery and product quality in enterprise systems

Good to Have

  • Healthcare domain (claims, submissions, EDI)
  • Data processing or ETL systems
  • Experience in transition or team ramp-up scenarios
