Ensures that medical billings and payment postings for Veradigm's clients are processed accurately and quickly. Works closely with offshore resources to reconcile payments and billings, monitors and reconciles batches to be closed timely, and completes balancing and reconciliation tasks within specified turnaround times. Reconciles payment postings, may oversee charge entry, and may have direct client interaction. Additionally, they assist the manager in reviewing and closing batches and may contribute to payment posting audits.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with teams to reconcile payments and billings accurately.
  • Completes balancing and reconciliation tasks within the defined turnaround times.
  • Prepares charges for offshore operations and answers and resolves questions.
  • Reconciles payment postings and reviews discrepancies to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Performs charge entry processes to maintain data integrity.
  • May Interact directly with clients to address billing inquiries and resolve issues.
  • May assist the manager in reviewing and closing batches for efficient billing cycles.
  • May participate in payment posting audits to identify discrepancies and improve processes.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong customer service skills, including answering client calls, prompt return and follow-up to all interactions, and prompt responses to requests for information.
  • Basic knowledge of email, search engine, Internet. Ability to effectively use payer websites and Laserfiche. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Products such as Outlook, Word, and Excel. Preferred experience with various billing systems, such as NextGen, Pro and Veradigm.
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
  • Team-oriented and collaborative with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents.
  • Ability to respond effectively and empathetically to sensitive inquiries or complaints from employees and clients.
  • Ability to speak clearly and to make effective and persuasive arguments and presentations.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to use critical thinking skills to apply principles of logic and analytical thinking to practical problems.
  • Familiarity with various medical plans.
  • Familiarity with specialties such as Psychiatry, Internal Medicine, Orthopedics, General Surgery is a plus.
