Manager Internal Audit

Provide independent, objective, audit assurance and consulting activity to management and the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors.
Perform activities related to assessment and/or coordination of enterprise risk management, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, operational effectiveness reviews and corporate governance activities.
What You’ll Contribute:
- Promoting an awareness of the importance of effective internal controls and corporate governance practices throughout the organization
- Assisting management with the development and execution of an enterprise risk management framework
- Assisting in the development and execution of an annual audit plan
- Performing and documenting transaction walkthroughs
- Assessing the design of internal controls and performing tests of operating effectiveness
- Assisting management in the development of remediation plans for any identified control deficiencies
- Coordinating with business process owners regarding effective IPE procedures
- Serving as an internal control subject matter expert and providing advisory services with respect to development of new processes and implementations of new applications or system functionality
- Performing special projects or investigations at the request of the Audit Committee or management
- Providing timely written reports and other communications to management, external auditors, and the Audit Committee.
- Actively manages and reviews work products of other auditors and / or consultants to ensure audit quality
- Identifies and recruits internal/external talents to ensure effective mix of competencies
- Sets and communicates team/individual objectives and KPIs to inspire individuals to achieve high performance
- Allocates work load to fully utilize every employee’s talent
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent Technical / Business experience required
- 8+ years relevant work experience; 2-3 years at the Expert level or equivalent experience preferred
- 4-6 years in audit / finance, with preference for at least 2 in a manager level role required
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and auditing concepts required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters/MBA preferred
- Experience in a Big 4 Audit firm preferred
