Position Responsibilities
As the Events Coordinator, you will be part of a talented Marketing team. Reporting to the Campaigns Manager and working closely with other members of the BARBRI Global team, your responsibilities will be to:
- Manage the organisation and set up of digital events using online tools such as Zoom webinars
- Organise venue bookings and logistics for in-person events
- Develop strong working relationships with 3rd parties to ensure the smooth running of events, including with event organisers, speakers, and suppliers.
- Create a briefing document for all event contributors to ensure everyone is well prepared and able to deliver at their best
- Where required, be responsible for the set-up of exhibition stand(s) and the BARBRI Global presence at in-person events (together with the event sponsor)
- Create and manage event marketing, including email
- Provide a monthly brief of social media marketing requirements to ensure messaging can be effectively scheduled for the promotion of events
- Source and order supporting event merchandise as required
- Establish and own a consistent process for capturing feedback and use the data to make suggestions and improvements for future events
- Be the owner of the shared event calendar, ensuring listings are up to date with the pertinent information included and all internal stakeholders are kept informed
- Log and track all event costs to ensure spend is in line with budgeted costs
- Provide stakeholders with regular reporting on event KPIs, including registrations and attendees

Essential Requirements
- First-class organisation skills – task-oriented and able to prioritise and plan efficiently and accurately
- Strong problem-solving skills — able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner and gather and analyse information skillfully
- Adaptability—comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to deal with change, delays, or unexpected events
- Ability to manage competing demands and comfortable asking for help with prioritisation when required
- Customer-focused, maintaining a professional manner and committed to delivering an excellent experience for customers at all times
- Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
Experience
- Event management (either in person, online or both) - required
- Ability to use design software such as Canva and/or Adobe - desirable
- Experience with webinar tools - desirable
- WordPress (or other website CMS) - beneficial
- Marketing automation (HubSpot, Marketo or similar) - beneficial
General Responsibilities
As a member of the global team, you will:
- Act as a role model and ambassador for the Company to enhance BARBRI’s brand awareness and perception,
- carry out a wide range of activities to ensure the success of the BARBRI global business,
- attend and contribute to team meetings and
- track and report on projects to your line manager.

Apprenticeship Requirements
Please note that as part of this role, you will be learning on the job through a Level 3 Events Assistant Apprenticeship. The length of this apprenticeship is typically 18 months and includes 1 day dedicated to ‘off-the-job’ learning. The apprenticeship training will be provided via our apprenticeship training partner. To be eligible for Government Funding and an apprenticeship, you need to fulfil the below requirements:
- You must have the right to work in the UK and have been ordinarily resident in the UK / EEA for the previous 3 years or have specific immigration statuses
- You must not be registered on any other training programme (Including but not limited to apprenticeships, Higher Education, Further Education, and Adult Education)
- You must have a minimum of Level 2 qualification (grade 4 or above/grade C or above) for Maths & English at GCSE/O-Level or equivalent

Location
We operate with a hybrid working approach with 2-3 days a week in the London office (Tuesdays and Thursdays) and 2-3 days a week working from home (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays).
