As an HR Advisor (maternity cover), you will provide comprehensive HR support to the Managing Director and the International team. Reporting to the Managing Director of the international business with a dotted line to the EVP of Human Resources based in the US. This role involves working closely with HR Director (US-based), managers and employees across the organisation to guide various HR queries and issues.

Responsibilities

Your role will involve handling a variety of HR-related tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Main point of contact for any HR queries for UK employees.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HR system (Hibob)
  • Prepare HR reports and analytics to support decision-making processes.
  • Ensure HR policies and procedures are up to date and compliant with current legislation. Communicate and implement HR policies across the organisation.
  • Assist in the administration of compensation and benefits programs.
  • Manage Employee Engagement initiatives and activities such as quarterly social and monthly lunch club.
  • Work closely with the HR team based in the US to support the wider business initiatives.
  • Support the recruitment process, including drafting job descriptions, screening applications, and conducting initial screening calls.
  • Manage the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
  • Support HR Director on employee relations issues, including disciplinary, grievance, and performance management.
  • Support the HR Director on conflict resolution and ensure fair and consistent application of HR policies.
  • Assisting with HR projects and initiatives as needed.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in an HR advisory role, preferably within a fast-paced company.
  • Strong Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to quickly build effective, collaborative relationships with the people team and other colleagues across the business.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships at all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle sensitive situations with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems. Ability to learn new systems quickly, if applicable.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • CIPD qualified preferred but not required.
