The Senior Contracts Specialist will be responsible for a wide variety of procurement and contracting duties. These duties may include drafting, reviewing, redlining, and negotiating various contracts, agreements, forms, and documents. Such contracts and agreements may include license agreements, Saas agreements, services agreements, resale agreements, lease agreements, work orders, statements of work, and other documents. The Senior Contracts Specialist will work closely with the procurement team and various stakeholders to understand the needs of the organization while assessing and communicating to the stakeholders the potential risks.

The Senior Contracts Specialist will report to the Senior Corporate Counsel and will work mostly independently with general guidance from the Senior Corporate Counsel.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities:

  • Develop a broad understanding of the business needs, including key stakeholder needs and risk tolerance;
  • Review and redline various forms of contracts;
  • Collaborate with the internal legal and procurement teams;
  • Communicate effectively with various internal business stakeholders;
  • Review contract terms and conditions to verify compliance;
  • Ability to clearly explain contract terminology in simple, everyday language;
  • Self-manage to meet deadlines; and
  • Potentially help develop training materials and to train staff.

Qualifications for this role:

  • 5+ years of contract experience, preferably procurement;
  • General knowledge and understanding of contractual language and terminology;
  • Willingness to work virtually or in an office setting;
  • Identify, analyze, and suggest solutions for potential contractual risk factors;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a mastery of the English language;
  • Willingness to clearly understand company policies, rules, and regulations;
  • Good organization skills and the ability to multitask on several projects simultaneously; and
  • Experience and comfortable with negotiation.

The base salary range across the U.S. for this role is between $86,000-$128,000. In addition, this role is eligible for commission. Black Duck offers a competitive total rewards package. The actual compensation offered will be based on a number of job-related factors, including location, skills, experience, and education.

$86,000$128,000 USD
