About the Role:

Black Duck Software is looking for a highly motivated Intermediate IT Project Manager to join our IT Team. In this role, you are responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of IT and business technology projects that support our strategic goals. You will work cross-functionally with teams including Engineering, Cybersecurity, Product, Finance, HR, and Operations to ensure seamless planning, execution, and value delivery. The successful candidate is collaborative, detail-oriented, execution-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced, hybrid environment.

Note: we are looking for someone preferably in the Central time zone.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and KPIs in alignment with organizational objectives and stakeholder expectations.
  • Create and manage integrated project plans, resource allocations, budgets, timelines, and risk mitigation strategies using modern tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, and Smartsheet).
  • Lead Agile and hybrid project teams through iterative planning, sprint execution, backlog grooming, and continuous delivery cycles.
  • Drive stakeholder engagement by facilitating effective communication, alignment, and transparency through regular reporting, status updates, and project reviews.
  • Identify, escalate, and resolve risks, issues, and blockers that may impact scope, schedule, or quality.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational security, governance, and data privacy requirements across all IT initiatives.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by implementing process enhancements, incorporating lessons learned, and introducing best practices in IT program delivery.0
  • Provide mentorship and leadership to project team members, fostering professional development and knowledge sharing.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 5+ years of progressive experience managing IT projects in mid-to-large-sized technology-driven environments.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional technical projects involving infrastructure, SaaS/PaaS implementations, cybersecurity, business applications (e.g. Salesforce, NetSuite) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Proven experience managing end-to-end Business Application projects on platforms such as Salesforce Sales, Service, and Experience Clouds, as well as NetSuite ERP, including requirements gathering, stakeholder alignment, solution design, implementation oversight, and post-deployment support.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban) and experience leading Agile ceremonies; Scrum Master or Agile certification is a plus.
  • Experience with change management and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical teams and executive leadership.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Nice to have:
  • Project Management certification (PMP, PMI-ACP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Familiarity with modern cybersecurity frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, SOC 2, ISO 27001).
