Responsibilities:
The primary objective of the Director – Specialty Services position is to lead, manage and inspire a team of people that produce “raves” through their ongoing service and support for a broad range of clients across multiple specialized functional areas. The teams led by the Director are generally transactional back-office functions that support a broader scope of benefits administration for a client.

Specialty Services includes: Verification services (dependents, life events, state waivers) Evidence of Insurability, QMCSO, COBRA, Billing. The Director will have accountability for multiple functional areas within this scope. This position is for: Direct Billing & Payments

This role is remote and can be filled anywhere in the U.S. However, no matter the candidate’s geography, bswift operates with Central time zone expectations for availability and expects the same of all teammates.

Specific responsibilities include the following:
• Manage the health of overall book of clients to deliver outstanding client retention and satisfaction
• Lead and manage the team to achieve individual, team, & company goals
• Coach and develop junior teammates
• Lead governance on overall client lines of business while ensuring that we are meeting and exceeding client expectations
• Build a relationship with internal customers via ongoing governance and personal discussions with full portfolio of clients and peers
• Coordinate with bswift teams to coordinate solutions and seamless delivery
• Assist in sales and marketing efforts as needed
• Manage implementation risks and deliverables
• Lead remediation efforts as required and be the point of contact for clients seeking to engage with senior management
• Lead efforts to improve process, tech and delivery quality and timeliness
• Be a SME to internal and external customers

As a people leader, additional expectations include:
• Recruiting, hiring and training talent to position bswift for success
• Give regular feedback for growth and development
• Hold team accountable for results, quality and timeliness
• Demonstrate professionalism and confidentiality
• Develop rapport through regular 1:1s
• Manage performance against KPIs, feedback from internal and external customers
• Remove roadblocks and advocate for direct reports

Qualifications/Experience/Skills/Other Requirements:
• 5+ years of service delivery / operations experience
• 2+ years of people leadership experience
• Proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office products
• Comfortable making decisions in situations of ambiguity
• A leadership style that reflects and reinforces bswift core values
• Ability to assist and equip others to efficiently solve complex problems
• Significant process management experience
• Strong customer service orientation
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Adaptability to a rapidly changing priority list
• Willingness to work nights and weekends when necessary
• Willingness to travel as needed (up to 20%)
• B.A. or B.S. required, or equivalent relevant work experience

Standard working hours are 8am-5pm Central Time, unless otherwise stated in the Job Description.

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $135,000-$145,000, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. If you are hired at bswift, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth. We also offer a generous compensation and benefits package!
