Description

• Refine and Fine-Tune Monitoring Solutions: Orchestrate configurations to meticulously track, analyze, and guarantee peak performance, unwavering reliability, and proactive issue resolution for both application and system health.
• Collaborate with Tech Teams: Work closely with bswift's tech teams to ensure platform reliability through ongoing engineering improvements, maintenance, monitoring, and new projects.
• Navigate and Resolve Complex Challenges: Address intricate challenges related to cloud infrastructure, automation processes, and application performance. Foster collaboration with development and operations teams, actively engaging in the diagnosis and resolution of issues across cloud infrastructure and applications.
• Deploy and Refine AWS Cloud Solutions: Utilize automation tools to enhance efficiency and scalability. Participate in the development and implementation of automated solutions, streamlining deployment, configuration, and orchestration processes through advanced tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or AWS CloudFormation.
• Forge Collaborative Security Partnerships: Partner with security teams to implement and reinforce optimal practices for security and compliance within a dynamic cloud environment. Ensure security, compliance, and meticulous cost management within the AWS environment.
• Stay Current with Industry Trends: Keep up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance our cloud infrastructure.
• Participate in 24/7 On-Call Rotation: Respond to incidents and ensure system availability.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience required.
• Experience:
  • 3+ years as a Cloud Engineer with a strong emphasis on AWS.
  • 2+ years of scripting experience (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation and troubleshooting tasks.
  • Demonstrable mastery of automation tools and frameworks, including but not limited to Terraform, Ansible, and AWS CloudFormation, specializing in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) paradigms.
  • Experience in deploying and configuring cloud load balancers, firewalls, VPCs in an AWS environment.
• Technical Skills: Practical understanding of TCP/IP networking architecture, along with expertise in core technologies such as HTTP, DNS, routing, and more.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal proficiency, fostering effective collaboration within a team-oriented environment.
• Certifications: AWS certifications (e.g., AWS SysOps Administrator, Developer, Solutions Architect, Associate) are a plus.

Standard working hours are 8am-5pm Central Time, unless otherwise stated in the Job Description.

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $120,000-$140,000, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. If you are hired at bswift, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth. We also offer a generous compensation and benefits package!
