Discovery Education’s Espresso service is a multi-award-winning digital curriculum service for primary school students and their teachers, subscribed to by thousands of schools in the UK and internationally. Job overview
The role is responsible for supporting the creation of curriculum relevant videos and multimedia activities.
Reporting to the Curriculum Producer, the Assistant Producer will research topics, source images and video footage. They will also help create multimedia activities and work within our content management system to upload content onto the site. The role will also involve working closely with Espresso’s multimedia team to ensure the production and standards of the service. There will also be opportunities to adapt content from our other services to Espresso.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Assist ID in creating lessons / resources aligned to curriculum for EYFS – KS2.
- Assist the creation of digital and non-digital/digital resources for the lesson.
- Assist the creation teacher guides & info to support lessons.
- Assist lesson / resource QA.
- Assists with the production of video across international department.
- Managing and tracking information, keeping all records up-to-date and accurate.
- Sourcing editorially sound images and archive footage.
- Localising international content to align with UK.
- Experience of producing material for school-age children.
- Experience in video and post production.
- Interest in news and topical content.
- First-class English written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Organised with strong administrative skills.
- Ability to devise and adhere to briefs.
- Ability to liaise with and manage multiple stakeholders.
- Strong multitasking skills.
- Ability to deliver on schedule and on budget.
- Ability to prioritise and manage multitude of tasks and time within a busy production schedule.
- Localisation experience.

- Experience with content management systems and comfortable using a range of software, excel is a must.

- Educated to degree level or equivalent.
- UK teaching qualifications such as PGCE.
