We are seeking a passionate Lead DevOps Engineer to spearhead the transition to a fully automated IaC, CaC, and GitOps-driven operational model. In this leadership role, you will collaborate closely with the CTO, technical leads, developers, and System Administrators to build and scale a cutting-edge platform that enhances our delivery capabilities in the industry. You will be responsible for establishing configuration management, automating our infrastructure, improving continuous integration processes, and training the team in DevOps best practices to achieve seamless automated deployments.

Your daily life:

  • Architect and Manage Infrastructure: Design, build, maintain, and monitor all infrastructure, particularly focusing on Kubernetes, required to support the release pipelines.
  • Automation Excellence: Oversee deployments of each service, aiming to automate processes to eliminate manual software releases.
  • Release Management Improvement: Enhance methodologies to ensure safe transitions of releases across environments.
  • Standards Development: Develop and improve standards and policies surrounding software delivery principles, promoting CI/CD practices.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead and manage cross-functional requirements, collaborating with Engineering, Product, Services, and other departments.
  • Team Management: Supervise and mentor a small but growing team of DevOps engineers, fostering their professional growth and ensuring the successful execution of projects.
  • Performance Oversight: Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members to drive continuous improvement.
  • Metrics and Monitoring: Produce metrics, dashboards, and alerts that report on overall release quality and status.
  • Support Development Teams: Assist developers in build/release automation, with a focus on Kubernetes-native applications.
  • Troubleshooting: Monitor and troubleshoot all software builds and deployments, with a strong emphasis on containerized applications.

What you bring:

  • Agile Experience: Proven experience in an Agile SaaS environment.
  • CI/CD Expertise: Hands-on experience with CI/CD concepts and tools such as AWS, Azure, DevOps, TeamCity, PowerShell, Python, Ansible, Terraform, and ArgoCD.
  • Kubernetes Proficiency: Deep expertise in Kubernetes and container orchestration, with experience in deploying and managing containerized applications at scale.
  • Scripting Skills: Proficiency in at least one scripting language (PowerShell, Python, etc.).
  • Desirable Knowledge: Familiarity with C# and a solid understanding of networking concepts.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal and team skills, with the ability to set and enforce processes and influence engineers who are not direct reports.

Ideal Candidate Will Meet One or More of the Following Criteria:

  • Experience in system administration, system configuration, and system debugging.
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure environments.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft’s technology stack (Windows/SQL Server).
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies beyond Kubernetes.
  • Tech Stack: C#/JavaScript/AWS DevOps/TeamCity/Python/MSBuild/MSTest/Jasmine/Kubernetes
