QA Engineer
DEPARTMENT: Continuous Services
BUSINESS UNIT: Corporate
REPORTS TO: Senior Manager of PS
DIRECT REPORTS: No
As part of the Professional Services team, you will engage with clients to identify how they use the system and what tests should be conducted as part of regression testing. You will use a combination of manual and automated testing methodologies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with customers to design tests that will test their specific use cases and create customer-specific test suites
- Capture data in the appropriate format to integrate into the automation test suite
- Collaborate with the test automation engineer to identify necessary enhancements to the test automation framework
- Execute test cases manually where automation framework is not yet available
- With each release or hot fix, identify which manual tests need to be executed
- With each release or hot fix, execute the automated test suite
- Gather metrics of test suite and report results to team
- Monitor results over time to identify trends, particularly in performance
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Understanding of US Customs Imports practices, strategies, and industry best practices
- Good technological proficiency (data science, SQL) is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- 5+ years of experience using CM-US product is highly desirable
- 5+ years of manual testing experience
- 5+ years writing test documentation and bug reports
- Excellent English communication (oral, written, presentation) and interpersonal skills.
- Supply chain certification is a plus
- US Customs Broker’s license is a plus
- Experience working with Selenium to execute automation is desired.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- General office environment and responsibilities requiring:
- Extensive use of the computer which involves viewing a monitor and keyboarding for most of the workday
- Placing and receiving phone calls
- Occasionally moving and lifting objects up to 20 pounds
- May require occasional travel as needed
