Senior Corporate Paralegal & Legal Operations Manager
Overview
We are hiring a critical team member to join the Legal team as Legal Operations Manager who will play a vital role in supporting our Legal Team. The ideal candidate will possess strong in-house experience in corporate matters, contract review, document organization, and building scalable processes.
Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, you will execute a variety of operational matters. You will also leverage your technical systems knowledge and general operations experience to implement new technology solutions, scale the Legal team, and partner with leaders, managers, and teammates across organizational boundaries and functions.
The successful candidate will be ready to navigate a growth-oriented, rapidly changing, and sometimes ambiguous environment. This person will be comfortable juggling multiple tasks under tight deadlines and must be a strong writer and communicator at senior levels of the organization. A passion for personal accountability and setting high standards is essential for success.
What you will do:
- Maintain and implement improvements to the Contracts Database.
- Manage domestic legal entities working with third-party service provider.
- Draft and distribute board consents with outside counsel.
- Organize and maintain corporate, commercial, and regulatory records.
- Manage and assign incoming internal legal tickets (requests).
- Maintain and update all legal templates. This requires a seasoned negotiator who can review, negotiate, and summarize succinctly contracts, including NDAs, services agreements, independent contractor agreements, and procurement.
- Select, implement, and manage all technology systems for Legal.
- Support transactional closings, including preparing and maintain closing checklists, drafting closing documents, and repairing and tracking internal approvals.
- Serve as a thought leader to improve and simplify processes, drive standardization and organization, and build scalable solutions.
- Spearhead ad-hoc projects to further improve the performance of the Legal team and overall company.
- And other activities, duties, or responsibilities as appropriate.
What you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- At least 10 years of legal experience as a corporate paralegal and/or legal operations manager, including at least 7 years of experience in-house; and
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Salesforce.
Preferred Skills:
- Significant in-house experience working for technology organizations.
- Experience managing legal operations projects.
- Experience building scalable processes (e.g., contracts database).
- Experience with Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite, and support ticketing software.
Note: The expected base pay range for this position is $89,834 - $115,000 per year. Base pay offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, education, and experience.
