Follett Content Solutions helps build a diverse collection of print and digital resources to support every student. We are currently hiring for a Marketing Coordinator to join the Marketing team. This position is a full-time exempt role in our located in McHenry, IL. This position would be a hybrid position with Monday, Tuesday & Thursdays in office and Wednesday & Friday's remote. Position Overview:
The Marketing Coordinator is a foundational, execution-focused role that provides broad support across the Follett Content Marketing team. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented, highly organized self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in keeping projects moving, deadlines met, and teams aligned. The Marketing Coordinator works across marketing functions supporting campaign execution, maintaining tools and resources, managing task tracking, and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks. This is a foundational role for someone eager to dive into the full scope of B2B and eCommerce marketing while making an immediate and tangible impact on day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing Campaigns
- Maintain and update content spreadsheets for Titlewave post projects, including Quarterly Non-Publisher/Co-Op Posts, Publisher Co-Op Titlewave Posts, and Quarterly Titlewave Posts
- Assist with campaign asset preparation, QA, and routing under the direction of Marketing Leads
- Support timeline adherence through task tracking, status updates, and follow-ups across active campaigns
- Help manage dependencies across content, creative, video, and communications to keep workstreams moving
Content & Social
- Schedule and publish content across owned social and digital channels
- Assist with social media listening, posting, scheduling, QA, and backup coverage as needed
- Help maintain content calendars and publishing checklists to ensure timely and accurate distribution
- Monitor basic performance metrics across channels and prepare summaries for review by the Content Strategist or Director
Videos & Webinars
- Assist with webinar logistics including registration pages, calendar invites, reminder communications, presentation drafting and editing, dry-run scheduling, and HubSpot sync
- Support live event coordination and post-event follow-up workflows
- Upload, organize, and maintain video assets across platforms including Wistia, YouTube, and internal libraries; help repurpose video content across channels in coordination with the content team
- Maintain and update checklists for video and webinar execution to ensure consistency and quality
Communications
- Manage content libraries, bookmarks, and shared internal resources including Library, Bookmark, and lobby monitor assets
- Support media monitoring, competitive news tracking, and coverage summaries
- Help prepare materials for announcements, product launches, and events
- Maintain messaging documentation and version control across shared resources
Conferences & Events
- Support pre-, during, and post-event campaign execution in partnership with event planner, marketing strategy/demand and content teams (emails, social posts, landing pages, rotating ppts, research for venues, etc.)
- Support internal communications to conference attendees as needed, including agendas, logistics, and on-site details
- Coordinate event related logistics including booth materials, shipping, supply inventory, etc.
Creative Services
- Support asset organization, file naming conventions, and archiving across shared creative repositories
- Assist with Storefront updates and preparation of event and promotional materials
- Help maintain brand and asset libraries to ensure resources are current, organized, and accessible across the marketing team
Administrative & Operations
- Maintain and create Marketing-owned SharePoint sites to ensure they are current and operational (e.g., Operations Hub)
- Support the creation of standard operating procedures, templates, and onboarding and training documentation for the department
- Support UTM creation and tracking, particularly for larger initiatives and catalog projects
- Perform QA and QC for specific web and MarTech tasks as needed
- Monitor and support shared inboxes and intake requests
- Handle data entry requests and updates across tools and platforms as needed
- 2-5 years of marketing, communications, or related experience; internship experience considered
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Strong interest or foundational experience in B2B marketing, content marketing, or marketing communications; exposure to education, publishing, or library markets a plus.
- Solid project and time management skills with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and keep workstreams organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Some familiarity with marketing processes, workflows, and tooling; hands-on experience with platforms such as HubSpot or project management systems are a plus.
- Comfort working across multiple functions and teams; able to shift priorities quickly and contribute meaningfully.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality in all deliverables.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and communicate status, questions, and updates clearly.
- A self-starter mentality: someone who takes initiative, asks good questions, and looks for ways to add value without being asked.
