Job Title: Senior Cyber Engineer
Location: Tysons, VA
Forcepoint is seeking a full-time professional services engineer to facilitate installation, configuration, integration, management and training of Forcepoint’s comprehensive suite cyber products. This individual must be highly motivated, have great interpersonal skills, and be a quick learner. The successful candidate will be offered specialized training to support our technologies and is expected to become proficient in all aspects of our software solution deployment.
What will I be doing?
- Provide engineering, installation, configuration and integration of Forcepoint commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) cyber products
- Provide on-site troubleshooting, and on-site support to customers including version upgrades.
- Provide on the job training to the customer as needed.
- Prepare technical documentation to include as-built design, requirements, and Standard Operating Procedures
- Provide technical briefings to customer leadership and Forcepoint corporate leadership as required
- *Other duties as required
What experience(s) and knowledge we are looking for:
- Must have an active (currently in use) TS/SCI w/CI Poly
- Must reside in the National Capital Region within Maryland, Washington D.C. or Virginia
- This position will require access to information that is subject to the U.S International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The applicant must have the ability to obtain the appropriate work authorizations that may be required under U.S. ITAR or EAR regulations from the applicable U.S government agency.
- 8+ years with demonstrated experience in cyber security to include practices/methodologies, associated technologies, application design and development and/or experience in an operational environment.
- Bring practical information security experience to bear to ensure seamless implementations, including: demonstrated knowledge of security information event management solutions, such as Splunk, ArcSight, and QRadar, as well as typical data feeds, such as web proxy logs, Active Directory logs, remote access logs, etc.
- Continually learn and update skills in quickly evolving core technologies, including Elastic, Apache NiFi, and python scripting.
- Intermediate to Senior network administration knowledge (TCP/IP, firewalls, routers, etc.)
- Intermediate to Senior Linux/Unix administration knowledge
- Intermediate to Senior Windows administration knowledge
- Intermediate to Senior understanding of security design and architecture, Active Directory/LDAP, and computer virtualization
- Must be able to coordinate collaboratively with customers and across multiple internal departments
- Experience in troubleshooting and resolving installation and/or application errors
- Experience with supporting/addressing customer training objectives
- Must be able to work and collaborate remotely with management and team members
- Prefer BS Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security or equivalent work experience
Work environment
- 10% or greater travel time expected for the position, to any of our customer locations
