Candidates should possess good troubleshooting and reasoning skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, desire to work on networking, security, web, mobile, and other server and client technologies.
Responsibilities:
Develop visually appealing frontend website architecture, including translating designer mock-ups and wireframes into frontend code
Build and maintain UI components library
Partner with senior engineers on design and architecture
Collaborate with backend developers and web designers to improve the usability
Continuously improve skills to deliver high-quality, modern web applications
Optimize website speed and performance
Maintain code quality and standards
Solve challenging and complex problems with a passion for attention to details
Required Skills/Experience
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering related field and 5+ year of relevant experience
Proficient with React, Redux & Material-UI with jQuery & Bootstrap frameworks to support legacy code (soon to be phased out)
Experience developing rich applications with HTML+CSS+JavaScript (ES6+) and Python+Django+Django REST Framework and NodeJS
Experience with full web stack development (e.g., DOM, HTTP, cookies, headers, asset loading/caching)
Familiar with relational databases and SQL, preferably MySQL
Believe testing code is a necessity rather than an afterthought
Comfortable in a dynamic environment. As a member of our engineering team, you will be called upon to be a Jack/Jill-of-all-Trades. A strong ability to prioritize and focus is critical
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Able to handle and cope with stressful situations and understands the pressures
Eagerness to learn new technologies
Bonus points if you have experience working with containers, e.g. Docker
