We are seeking a seasoned Release Train Engineer (RTE) with a strong background in managing IT projects, particularly in the cybersecurity field. This role involves a significant focus on handling the planning of medium to large-sized technical projects while leading PI events in a mixed-methodology environment. The ideal candidate will be adept at liaising with teams that operate outside the Agile framework and will play a pivotal role in initiating small project level PI events.

Key Responsibilities:

- Facilitate large project level Program Increment (PI) planning sessions, aligning with broader organizational goals.

- Lead small scale IT projects within the cybersecurity domain, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget, and technical standards.

- Guide and support Agile teams, while also effectively coordinating with groups working in traditional project management frameworks.

- Drive the execution of ARTs, optimizing value flow and ensuring integration of complex cybersecurity solutions.

- Collaborate with Product & Service Owners, Business Analysts, and other stakeholders across diverse methodologies.

- Implement and adapt Agile practices in a mixed-methodology environment, ensuring flexibility and effectiveness in project delivery.

- Manage communication and remove impediments across teams with varying project management approaches.

- Track and report on project metrics and Agile performance indicators to upper management.

- Maintain a keen understanding of emerging trends in cybersecurity, Agile methodologies, and project management.

- Hold retrospectives for the project teams at the end of each project.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree

- Over 5 years of experience in IT project management and Agile leadership, preferably in cybersecurity.

- Demonstrated ability to work with teams not fully operating in an Agile framework.

- Strong project management skills, with an ability to lead diverse and cross-functional teams.

- Relevant certifications (e.g., SAFe RTE, PMP, CSM) are highly advantageous.

- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.

Don’t meet every single qualification? Studies show people are hesitant to apply if they don’t meet all requirements listed in a job posting. Forcepoint is focused on building an inclusive and diverse workplace – so if there is something slightly different about your previous experience, but it otherwise aligns and you’re excited about this role, we encourage you to apply. You could be a great candidate for this or other roles on our team.
