Job Summary
Forcepoint is growing and hiring leadership for our new endpoint security software development team in Cork. In this role you will manage teams of 6-8 software and quality assurance engineers working in an Agile/SCRUM process. This is a hands on role requiring a strong technical background and the ability to get into the code and design process. This is a new team so you will work with the senior manager to recruit a talented team and establish the team culture.

Essential Functions
• Provide day-to-day guidance and support to ensure that your team is successful and meets its goals
• Work with engineering managers across the endpoint development teams to meet organizational goals
• Work with technical support to qualify and resolve escalated issues related to the endpoint agent
• Take an active role in the career development of your team members
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned

Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Experience managing a software development team
• Knowledge of software development methods, design, and implementation
• Expertise in languages, tools, and techniques used to implement quality software products
• Experience in recruiting and team building

Soft Skills
• Strong communication (written and oral) and teamwork behavior within a diverse team environment
• Ability to create a collaborative and supportive culture
• Strong focus on reports’ talent development and career growth
• Self-motivated to research new skills and technologies (whether or not directly related to product)
• Commitment to the broader range of product development goals

Preferred Skills and Background
• Experience with test automation and CI/CD
• Experience developing security products
• Exposure to technical support processes and customer issue resolution
• Experience working in an Agile/SCRUM centered organization
