Role Overview
The FP&A Data Transformation Manager is responsible for driving trust, clarity, and speed in business decision-making by ensuring GTM, Finance, and People data are accurate, reconciled, and consumable at scale.
This is a net-new, cross-functional role designed to unify historically siloed data domains (Sales, Finance, HR, Commissions, Product, and Operations) into a cohesive operating model that supports forecasting, derive insights, facilitate capital allocation strategy, and strategic investment decisions.
The role is the Finance point of contact working with, GTM Operations, Data Engineering, and Executive Leadership, with a primary mandate to reduce reconciliation effort, eliminate metric ambiguity, and enable confident investment decisions.
Core Responsibilities
1. Own the GTM-to-Finance Data System (Databricks)
Develop and maintain an end-to-end understanding of how data flows from:
Salesforce and GTM systems
Into Finance systems (NetSuite, commissions, payroll)
Through Databricks and into executive reporting
Ensure analytical outputs reconcile cleanly back to financial and people systems of record
Act as the arbiter of where business logic belongs across systems
2. Establish Trust in Business-Critical Metrics
Partner with Finance/SalesOps and Marketing to ensure metrics such as:
Revenue, ARR, EBITDA contribution
Commissions and incentive reporting
Headcount and cost attribution are consistent, explainable, and defensible
Reduce ad-hoc reconciliation work for Finance and GTM leadership
Identify and remediate systemic sources of metric disagreement
3. Create a Scalable Data Transformation Operating Model
Define and document:
Metric ownership
System-of-record boundaries
Gold-layer data contracts
Introduce lightweight governance and change communication norms
Ensure transformation work is prioritized by business impact, not technical preference
4. Enable Faster, Lower-Risk Decision-Making
Translate business questions into data requirements
Translate data complexity into executive-ready insights
Ensure leadership debates actions, not definitions
5. Adhoc Analysis as requested by Leadership

Migration and validation of the SQL Cube data to Databricks
Automation of weekly/monthly financial reports for consumption by partners
Faster turnaround from business question → decision
Clear ownership and stability of business-critical datasets
Executive trust in analytics outputs
Education, Skills
BA/BS degree in Finance, Economics, or applicable field
7+ years of Finance, Accounting, Systems/CS or applicable experience
Advanced knowledge of managing and consolidating sales and finance data and analytics
Strong collaboration skills
Advanced analytical skills
Excellent communication skills, ability to set direction, give verbal and written feedback
Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of management, small and large groups
Exceptional Excel ability
Financial modeling experience
Experience implementing business process improvements
