Who is Forcepoint?

Forcepoint simplifies security for global businesses and governments. Forcepoint’s all-in-one, truly cloud-native platform makes it easy to adopt Zero Trust and prevent the theft or loss of sensitive data and intellectual property no matter where people are working. 20+ years in business. 2.7k employees. 150 countries. 11k+ customers. 300+ patents. If our mission excites you, you’re in the right place; we want you to bring your own energy to help us create a safer world. All we’re missing is you!

We are seeking a seasoned Product Manager to take full ownership of our DSPM (Data Security Posture Management) product line. This role serves as the critical bridge between engineering, design, sales, and customer success teams, driving end-to-end product lifecycle from ideation to market adoption.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a dynamic environment, blending technical depth, customer empathy, and strategic vision. This is not a role focused solely on writing specifications or crafting strategy decks—expect to dive into Figma designs, PRDs (Product Requirements Documents), sprint planning, and customer demos.

Key focus areas include:

  • Technical Expertise: Engage deeply with engineers on data stores, cloud architectures, APIs, classification engines, and policy models to shape robust, scalable solutions.

  • Field and Customer Orientation: Collaborate with CISOs, security architects, and sales engineers to distill complex feedback into actionable problem statements, prioritized roadmaps, and go-to-market strategies.

  • User Experience Focus: Partner with UX/UI teams to transform intricate DSPM workflows into intuitive, modern interfaces (e.g., sleek dashboards inspired by leading platforms like Wiz, avoiding outdated admin consoles).

Background and Experience

  • 10-12 years of Product Management experience in B2B/enterprise software.

  • At least 4–5 years in security, data, or cloud infrastructure products.

  • Proven track record of owning a product or major product area, including roadmap development, delivery milestones, user adoption, and alignment with go-to-market teams.

  • Hands-on experience in one or more of the following domains (multiple preferred):

  • Data Security / DLP (across endpoints, cloud, email, web, or networks).

  • DSPM (data discovery, classification, posture assessment, and remediation in cloud data stores).

  • SSPM / SaaS Security Posture Management.

  • Cloud Security Platforms (CSPM/CNAPP) with emphasis on data or identity components.

  • Application / API Security (bonus for data protection, secrets management, or access control).

Core Skills

  • Ability to synthesize customer and field feedback into structured requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and cohesive roadmaps.

  • Proficiency in describing data models, integration patterns, and APIs at a conceptual level.

  • Demonstrated collaboration with cross-functional teams:

  • Engineering (e.g., daily standups, backlog grooming, and technical trade-off decisions).

  • UX/UI (e.g., wireframes, prototypes, design reviews, and usability testing).

  • Sales, Solutions Engineers, and Customer Success (e.g., roadmap discussions, deal support, and issue escalations).

  • Exceptional storytelling and communication skills for presenting to executives, field teams, and customers.

  • Data-driven mindset: Leverage product telemetry, usage analytics, and sales feedback to inform prioritization and decisions.

  • Adept at context-switching between high-level strategic positioning and granular tactical execution.

  • Comfortable working asynchronously with remote leadership based in California, while demonstrating strong decision-making authority and "blocking and tackling" skills to unblock engineers, resolve impediments, and occasionally roll up sleeves for hands-on support or escalations.

Don’t meet every single qualification? Studies show people are hesitant to apply if they don’t meet all requirements listed in a job posting. Forcepoint is focused on building an inclusive and diverse workplace – so if there is something slightly different about your previous experience, but it otherwise aligns and you’re excited about this role, we encourage you to apply. You could be a great candidate for this or other roles on our team.
