Forcepoint is redefining cybersecurity around a single idea: data is the control plane. As we accelerate our Data Security Everywhere (DSE) strategy and expand into AI security, we are hiring an Analyst Relations Director to build and execute a comprehensive analyst strategy that shapes how the market understands our platform and vision. This role is focused on creating the plan, building the right relationships, and driving measurable market influence. You will ensure analysts understand not just our products, but our point of view, category leadership, and long-term platform strategy. You will operate as a strategic advisor to executives, a partner to Product Marketing, and a driver of market perception change.
Key Responsibilities
Analyst Relations Strategy and Planning
• Develop and own a multi-quarter analyst relations strategy aligned to Forcepoint’s Data Security Everywhere platform and AI security initiatives
• Define target analysts, firms, and engagement priorities
• Establish a clear engagement model, including briefing cadence, inquiry strategy, and event participation
• Build a roadmap to influence analyst research agendas, market categories, and evaluation criteria
Relationship Development and Management
• Build and maintain senior-level relationships with key analysts across Gartner, Forrester, and IDC
• Develop tailored engagement strategies for priority analysts based on their research focus and influence
• Establish Forcepoint as a trusted source of insight through consistent, high-quality interactions
• Evolve relationships from transactional briefings to ongoing strategic dialogue
Narrative Development and Market Positioning
• Translate Forcepoint’s capabilities into a clear and consistent analyst narrative across:
o Data Security Everywhere (DSE)
o AI-aware data security
o DSPM and DLP convergence
• Ensure alignment across analyst briefings, research submissions, and executive messaging
• Proactively influence how analysts define and evaluate emerging categories in data security and AI security
Program Execution and Operational Discipline
• Build and manage annual and quarterly analyst relations plans
• Coordinate cross-functional inputs to ensure accurate and compelling analyst engagement
• Maintain a structured cadence of briefings, inquiries, and follow-ups
• Track and report on analyst sentiment, coverage quality, and engagement effectiveness
Research Participation and Competitive Positioning
• Lead Forcepoint’s participation in key analyst evaluations, including Magic Quadrants, Waves, and MarketScapes
• Align internal stakeholders on evaluation criteria, differentiation, and messaging
• Ensure submissions highlight platform value, customer outcomes, and competitive strengths
• Partner with Product Marketing and Customer Marketing to identify and prepare strong customer references
Executive Alignment and Enablement
• Prepare executives for analyst briefings, inquiries, and strategic discussions
• Provide guidance on messaging, positioning, and competitive dynamics
• Ensure leadership alignment on analyst engagement priorities and desired outcomes
• Support executive participation in analyst-led events and thought leadership opportunities
Success Metrics
• Development and execution of a clear, measurable analyst relations strategy
• Strength and depth of relationships with priority analysts
• Improved analyst perception of Forcepoint as a data security platform leader
• Strong positioning in key analyst research and evaluations
• Measurable contribution to market awareness and sales confidence
Qualifications
• 10+ years of experience in Analyst Relations, Product Marketing, or a related strategic role within cybersecurity
• Proven ability to build and execute analyst relations programs from the ground up
• Strong experience engaging with leading analyst firms, including Gartner, Forrester, and IDC
• Deep understanding of data security, including DLP, DSPM, insider risk, and cloud security
• Familiarity with AI security trends and enterprise risk considerations
• Strong communication and executive presence, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear market narratives
• Ability to operate at both a strategic and operational level
