We are looking for a deeply experienced Sales Manager to lead all retail and online sales efforts for Canadian accounts. Their focus will be on building and developing relationships with key Canadian retail partners to build brand awareness, tell the Glorious product story, and increase sales across both new and (later) existing channels. Qualified candidates must have an existing network of sales contacts within Canada, preferably within the consumer electronics or gaming industry.

This position will report to the General Manager, Americas. The person in this role will work cross-collaboratively with other key members of our sales team, and be the initial point of contact for all Canadian sales accounts, excluding Amazon.

Compensation

The starting salary for this role is $105,000-130,000 CAD annually, depending on experience and geographical location.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact and owner of all engagements with Canadian retail and ecommerce accounts, driving increased revenue, share, and customer satisfaction within Canada
  • Manage all sales development aspects with a focus on maintaining product availability, growing sales revenue, improving brand recognition, and creating a healthy sellout pipeline
  • Use existing contacts to build new relationships with key accounts
  • Manage key accounts’ inventory, SKU selection, new SKU availability, and forecasting
  • Understand major competitors in your territory, including marketing activities, pricing strategies, promotions, market share of key accounts, channel, and inventory/supply details
  • Work with the Glorious marketing team to create programs or events that increase brand exposure and improve sellout in retail locations
  • Provide weekly and monthly reporting of sales forecasts and sellout, and take proactive action to ensure channel inventory is maintained
  • Residing in and authorized to work in Canada; location local to Toronto is preferred, but not required
  • Professional fluency in English
  • Access to a reliable internet connection
  • A bachelor’s degree in sales, or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of experience in sales management or development, preferably in the field of consumer electronics, PC components, gaming peripherals, or another similar category; qualified candidates must have current and relevant contacts at relevant Canadian retailers to be considered for this role
  • 5+ years of experience working cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and events teams to increase brand recognition and sellout in retail locations
  • Proven track record of independently prospecting, building a pipeline, and moving opportunities through the sales cycle
  • Proven track record of building, growing, and maintaining relationships with customers both in retail and ecommerce settings
  • Proficient in using CRMs, ERPs, and project management tools; experience with NetSuite and Asana is a plus
  • Capable of prioritizing and managing a sales pipeline and individual workload with minimal supervision
