About the role
The Salesforce Engineering Manager is an experienced developer responsible for guiding the Salesforce development team in designing, building, and deploying robust solutions across Salesforce and related tools. This role facilitates agile practices, resolving blockers, and ensures team alignment while aiding with technical architecture and mentoring and assisting developers.
Yours Day to Day
As an Engineering Manager, you would be working on:

Lead and manage Salesforce development and QA team members
Provide technical guidance, coaching, and support, including onboarding and training
Foster collaboration, continuous learning, and promote Salesforce best practices
Facilitate agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to ensure team alignment and continuous improvement
Foster a culture of iterative development, continuous feedback, and adaptability to changing requirements
Track and report team performance metrics (e.g., velocity, burndown) to drive transparency and delivery predictability
Remove impediments and blockers to enable effective sprint progress and delivery

Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and data security
Establish, enforce, and review coding standards and documentation practices
Implement and uphold security and compliance for data access and storage
Conduct code reviews, approve contributions, and guide technical decision-making
Support a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

Lead the design and deployment of Salesforce solutions
Collaborate with Project Managers and stakeholders to define, prioritize, and refine the product backlog as well as translate requirements into user stories and deliverables
Architect scalable and maintainable solutions to meet business objectives, including partnering with the Platform Architect on larger initiatives
Oversee DevOps processes including versioning, CI/CD, and release management
What We’re Looking For
As an Engineering Manager, your background will look like:
4+ years of Salesforce leadership experience, with hands-on development in Apex, Lightning Components, Visualforce, and SOQL/SOSL.
Proven experience leading Salesforce development teams or initiatives
Solid understanding of Salesforce architecture, best practices, and data security
Experience with Salesforce integrations (REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, external systems)
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities for complex Salesforce environments
Experience managing the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) within agile or scrum frameworks
Familiarity with code versioning tools (e.g., Git), CI/CD processes, and code review practices
Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions and collaborating with cross-functional teams (product, architecture)
Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer I/II, App Builder, or Architect track
