Job Description

Where you’ll work: Remote/ India

As a Salesforce DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for building, optimizing, and managing the tools, processes, and environments that support agile development and efficient release management on the Salesforce platform. You will collaborate with Salesforce developers, architects, admins, QA, and IT infrastructure teams to drive CI/CD automation, enforce platform governance, and ensure the reliability and scalability of Salesforce deployments across sandboxes and production environments

Your Day to Day

As a Senior Salesforce DevOps Engineer, you would be working on

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce development using tools such as Salesforce DX, Gearset, Jenkins, Git, etc.

  • Automate deployments, metadata migrations, and rollback procedures between environments (sandboxes, UAT, production)

  • Develop and manage automated testing and code validation as part of the deployment process

  • Monitor and optimize build, integration, and deployment activities for efficiency and compliance

  • Oversee creation, refresh, and management of Salesforce sandboxes and environments

  • Ensure consistency, data integrity, and alignment between development, QA, staging, and production orgs.

  • Support data migration and seeding strategies for robust testing and release validation.

  • Enforce source control, branching, and code review best practices in Salesforce development.

  • Establish and maintain release documentation, change logs, rollback plans, and audit trails.

  • Ensure change management and deployment procedures comply with company policies and regulatory standards (SOX, GDPR as appropriate) .

  • Evaluate and implement DevOps tools, plugins, and techniques to support scalable, automated releases and continuous delivery.

  • Proactively recommend and drive improvements in deployment, monitoring, alerting, and backup strategies for Salesforce.

  • Provide technical support for pipeline failures and troubleshoot deployment issues

  • Work alongside developers, architects, QA, and admins to enable rapid, safe, and auditable Salesforce changes.

  • Support release planning, cutover coordination, and environment setup for major projects and releases.

  • Train technical teams on DevOps tools and best practices; promote a DevOps culture across the Salesforce team

What We’re Looking For

As a Senior Salesforce DevOps Engineer,your background will look like:

  • Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

  • 5+ years' experience in Salesforce DevOps, release management, or related area.

  • Hands-on expertise with Salesforce DX, metadata API, and deployment tools (Gearset, Jenkins, GitHub, etc).

  • Familiarity with source control (Git), branching strategies, and code review workflows.

  • Knowledge of CI/CD, pipeline automation, and DevOps concepts in Salesforce environments

  • Experience with environment management (sandbox creation, refreshing, data migration)

  • Exposure to test automation, static code analysis, and optimization of Salesforce delivery

  • Understanding of Salesforce development life cycle and governance frameworks

  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and a collaborative mindset.
