Your Day to Day

As a Sales Commission Analyst, you would be working on:

  • Collaborate across teams: Partner cross-functionally to prepare monthly sales commission calculations, gather reports, analyze data, and leverage our commission management tool (Xactly).

  • Ensure accuracy: Audit sales and partner commissions to ensure accurate payments, quota attainment, and global payouts. Maintain precise commission records and deal bookings within our systems.
  • Provide empathetic support: Serve as a supportive and communicative partner to our Sales, Sales Operations, HR, and Finance teams. You will thoughtfully review and resolve commission inquiries and disputes with a solutions-oriented, customer-service mindset.
  • Support the financial close: Help drive the Monthly Revenue close process, ensuring all commission transactions are processed accurately, on time, and within company guidelines. Create and manage journal entries, commission accruals, and related accounting functions.
  • Drive continuous improvement: Partner with the team on special projects and ad-hoc reporting to help us improve and scale our commission processes.

What We’re Looking For

As a Sales Commission Analyst, your background will look like:

  • Relevant Experience: 2-3 years of experience in accounting, finance operations, sales compensation administration, or a similar data-driven field.

  • Education: A degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, a related quantitative field—or equivalent practical experience.

  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., navigating raw data, pivot tables, analysis). Familiarity with tools like Tableau, Salesforce, or compensation software (Xactly, Callidus, NetSuite) is a huge plus!

  • Industry Knowledge: An understanding of enterprise software or SaaS business models is highly preferred, though we welcome quick learners from other industries.

  • Collaborative Spirit: The ability to connect, communicate, and work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds, working styles, and levels across the organization.

  • Growth Mindset: A natural curiosity, strong attention to detail, and a proactive desire to learn and grow within the team.
