Purpose of the role

Responsible for delivery of successful projects to our customers across different markets (time zone). Develop and lead the Project Management / Project Leaders team in delivering Professional Services projects to our clients and to focus on increasing the competence, productivity of our Associates and the performance and effectiveness of the team.

Engaged in the sales cycle, gain customer trust and confidence in Keyloop’s ability to deliver and ensure all projects are adequately defined, scoped and supported by appropriate and acceptable contracts. Take oversight for all projects assigned to the team and be ultimately responsible for successful delivery to agreed schedule, commercial and quality commitments, attending customer steering meetings and acting as the customer’s primary escalation point as required.

Managing Project Managers / Project Leads in the team, you will work cross functionally to engage all areas of the business to align effectively to support the needs of the customer and projects, balancing conflicting priorities to the benefit of the customer and Keyloop.

The Head of Projects is well organized, articulate, detail-orientated and commercially aware, with an understanding of business operations, and able to lead and delegate effectively. You take pride and responsibility and have the drive to make things happen to get the job done.

This role is key to us delivering a first class service to our customers, and requires excellent people and project management capabilities as well as exceptional communication skills. You are an experienced professional, with the drive and experience to make a difference. The role requires an experienced Leader with Project Management skills, capable of mentoring and developing the team, managing the cross functional relationships internally and being part of PMO Management team. You will be expected to challenge the status quo and identify, promote and execute improvement opportunities on a regular basis. The role requires presence, passion and energy.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support project definition in the sales process (Discovery workshops, expectation setting etc.) and review and approve all SOWs, project quotations and related contracts

  • Oversight of (and hands on management as required) planning, managing and controlling the implementation of multiple projects to a wide range of customers

  • Promote professionalism in project delivery via the team and ensure adherence to best practice, Keyloop standards and related processes, while taking a customer focused approach

  • Team and people management encompassing formal and daily processes, mentoring and coaching, performance management

  • Attend customer steering meeting, act as prime customer escalation point during the project lifecycle

  • Manage external (senior) stakeholders, the Keyloop Sales teams and internal Keyloop senior management stakeholders as required to achieve project success

  • Deliver top quality reporting on project status (both externally and internally) to a wide variety of stakeholders, providing senior level insight and decision making based on sound analysis

  • Achievement of defined commercial targets

  • Participate in Global PMO Practice, introduce and drive change, improvement, process, operational improvements. (make change happen)

  • Develop and maintain team plan for the longer term, in conjunction with PMO management and Global PMO Practice

  • Orders and Projects assignment to Project manager / Project lead in line with SLA

  • Orders and Projects planning in line with SLA

  • Revenue target achievement in line with forecast / plan

  • Successful delivery of projects - on budget and time

  • Commercial and operational effectiveness - Billable and Productive utilisation 80% of team

  • PM associates skills development in line with Global PMO Practice

  • Demonstrable customer satisfaction, monitored via regular feedback

  • Project governance in place and project delivery to standards, measurable via Project audits

Skills / Knowledge & Experience

  • Language skills appropriate for region and English language also

  • High-level of communication, facilitation, presentation and negotiation skills

  • Excellent organization, planning and coordination skills

  • Well-honed commercial and leadership skills

  • Experience of working in a fast moving and dynamic customer facing project environment, ideally from an IT (Software) organization

  • Experience of commercial decision making

  • Extensive experience of running large scale, complex IT projects involving multiple stakeholders / departments / countries

  • Extensive experience of working with a project management methodology such as PRINCE2 or PMI

  • Experience of using industry standard project management systems, processes, tools and techniques
