Purpose of the role

To build, develop and retain teams of motivated, multi-national and multi-linguistic consultants to address the deploy requirements related the Keyloop’s hardware operation and their associated products, including any further growth in portfolio, while contributing to the strategic and financial goals of the organization, within the legal frameworks of the countries the associate is based in. Where required this capacity will be built using a network of external suppliers and contracts and working withing the principles and policies set forth by Keyloop. The Head of Hardware must have the ability to define strategies to align with the organizational goals in terms of margin and growth.

The Head of Hardware is also responsible for:

  • Define strategy for Voice Connect in terms of hardware requirements and keep the device portfolio aligned to evolving technologies.
  • Define and execute procurement strategy including building a supplier network for hardware.
  • Define and execute customer server requirements with a view to move all customers to HSP
  • Define strategy for distribution of hardware to customers as and when required on a timely basis.
  • Maintain customer hardware based on Keyloop’s contracts with the customers.
  • Define and execute training strategy for associates and customers where required.
  • Drive billability and utilization of associate in line with Keyloop’s KPI’s

Role Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning (Standardization, efficiency, and adaptability to evolving technology)

  • Provide significant in-depth knowledge and experience in one or more specialist components/technologies required to build a portfolio of products and services for a hardware operation.
  • Develop documentation for new adopted technologies for both internal (setup/configuration) and external (customer manuals).
  • Assist sales in pre-sales hardware requirement analysis on strategic and one-off type 3 projects involving technical elements for Servers, networks, routers, printers, MPLS and any other devices that may form part of Keyloop’s hardware portfolio.
  • Identify and implement deploy automation.
  • Create and enforce license issue control and audit as per Keyloop strategy.

  • Support project manager to estimate and complete technical elements of projects on time and within budget.
  • Sets high standards of performance for self & others in delivering results.
  • Ensures associates spend time evaluating and enhancing team skill set.
  • Identifies product problem areas and working with R&D to resolve the same.
  • Effectively balances many priorities to achieve business results.
  • Makes informed decisions based on facts and associates’ perspectives.

Financial Management (Understanding of Keyloop’s financial levers to achieve business results)

  • Describes how Keyloop drives profitability in basic terms.
  • Explains how team results impact revenue and expenses and
  • Ensures connection between individual and team goals.

People leadership


  • Motivate the team to align to Keyloop’s vision and values.
  • Demonstrate flexible communication style based on settings (1-on-1, small/large groups, peers, direct reports, external clients etc.)
  • Offer information that associates need to perform with pride.

  • Establishes clear goals and targets.
  • Gives feedback effectively and in a timely manner.
