We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Commission/Compensation Specialist to join our Sales Operations team. The Commission/Compensation Specialist will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing our sales compensation plans to ensure they align with business objectives, drive performance, and motivate our sales force effectively.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including Sales Leadership, Finance, and HR, to understand business goals, sales strategies, and compensation needs.
  • Design and develop sales compensation plans, including commission structures, bonus programs, and incentives, that are competitive, fair, and compliant with company policies and regulations.
  • Analyze sales performance data to evaluate the effectiveness of compensation plans and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Partner with Sales Operations and Finance teams to accurately calculate and process commissions and bonuses in a timely manner.
  • Provide guidance and support to sales representatives and managers on compensation-related inquiries, policies, and processes.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure accuracy and consistency in commission calculations and payments.
  • Own and manage the Commission Review Board process internally to regularly review Sales rep performance and track compensation against budgets.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to sales compensation and make recommendations for adjustments as needed.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in sales compensation design, administration, or analysis, preferably in a high-growth, SaaS environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable insights.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with a focus on delivering high-quality work.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar tools for data analysis and modeling.
  • Knowledge of sales performance metrics and KPIs, such as quota attainment, revenue targets, and sales pipelines.
  • Familiarity with CRM (Salesforce) and sales compensation software and systems (Xactly Incent) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities and requirements.
