Desired Skills:

• 4+Years of experience into PostgreSQL Administration
• Diagnose and address database performance issues using performance monitors and various tuning techniques.
• Support database copy from prod to test/dev.
• Hands-on maintenance and administration of Linux based database systems.
• Prior experience with migrations.
• Fine-tune configurations.
• Capacity planning.
• Automate day-to-day tasks.
• Hands on experience in Root cause analysis for business impacting issues
• Backup and restores
• Oracle 19c Administration would distinct advantage in this role.
• Designing DR (Disaster Recovery, Continuity of Business) plans for each database type.

Mandate Skills

• Strong experience with PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of storage, servers, operating systems, and application interaction.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills and problem-solving skills.
• Document processes and procedures.
• Ability to work calmly in high pressure situations and manage multiple ongoing projects.
• Flexible to work different shifts

Pluses

• The desirable but not mandatory attributes of this post is AWS Cloud, EC2, RDS, Jira, Confluence and Salesforce. A basic understanding of MongoDB and Oracle 19 would be a plus. Scripting with Ansible, Terraform, Python or similar.
• The requirement is for a person with experience of working with multiple types of databases.

Shift

• working hours of 1:30pm to 10:30pm India Standard Time.
