Role Overview:
- As a Jira Technical Engineer at Keyloop, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our supporting business units such as Legal Operations with the Jira Technology landscape.
- You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing Jira-based business processes to support primary the legal operations function.
- This role focuses on optimizing workflows, improving system efficiency, and ensuring seamless integration of Jira with other tools and processes used by the Legal team.
- This role requires a deep understanding of SaaS business models, with a particular focus on transforming key business processes.
- Proven experience is a must in a SaaS business model.
- Additionally, you will champion the importance of data and how that moves across the enterprise and the impact on customer experience & customer journeys developing solutions that delight our customers.
- This is a new role formed into a transforming IT department so a willingness to adapt and change in transforming world is a must and being outcome and value driven
Responsiblities
- Jira Administration, Configure and maintain Jira projects, workflows, permission schemes, notification schemes, and custom fields.
- Manage user access, roles, and permissions within Jira.
- Perform regular system audits and upgrades to ensure optimal performance.
- Process Design and Implementation. Collaborate with business functions to understand business needs and translate them into efficient Jira workflows.
- Develop, document, and implement new Jira processes and workflows to streamline operations.
- Create and manage Jira dashboards, reports, and filters to provide visibility into operations metrics for business functions.
- Integration and Automation. Integrate Jira with other Keyloop enterprise tools and systems used by other teams across the organisation, such as document management systems, e-discovery platforms, and contract management solutions.
- Implement automation within Jira using built-in automation rules or scripting to enhance process efficiency.
- Training and Support. Provide training and support to business functions on Jira best practices and new features.
- Create and maintain user guides, training materials, and documentation for Jira processes and workflows.
- Continuous Improvement. Identify areas for improvement in existing Jira processes and workflows and propose and implement solutions.
- Stay updated on Jira releases, plugins, and industry best practices to continuously enhance the system.
- Working closely with the Jira COE Team in engineering to cross pollenate skills, and knowledge to improve customer experience.
Skills and experience required:
- Level of knowledge of principles, concepts within speciality area and company business:
- 2-4 years of experience as a Jira Administrator or Jira Engineer, with a focus on business process design and implementation.
- Strong understanding of Jira administration, including project setup, workflow configuration, permissions, and notifications. Experience in designing and implementing Jira workflows to support business processes.
- Familiarity with legal operations or experience working in a legal environment is a plus.
- Proficiency in integrating Jira with other systems and tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Groovy, JavaScript) for Jira automation
- Certification as a Jira Administrator (e.g., Atlassian Certified Jira Administrator).
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

The incumbent is anticipated to possess the capability to dissect complex challenges and navigate them toward solutions with minimal assistance. The individual must effectively demonstrate prior experience in successfully addressing such challenges within complex business environments.
Relationship Focus
This role requires exceptional stakeholder management skills. You will be expected to work with leaders across Keyloop and key suppliers in the delivery scalable IT Services to our wider business.
