Purpose of the role:
The Head of Employee Relations and HR Operations is responsible for overseeing and guiding the regional HR Managers, who manage employee relations in their respective countries (30 in total). This role acts as the primary point of escalation for complex employee relations issues and serves as a mentor and coach for the regional HR team. The Head of Employee Relations and HR Operations ensures the effective implementation of HR policies, drives operational excellence, and supports a positive and inclusive work environment.

Direct Reports: Regional HR Managers
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Relations
- Escalation point: act as the primary point of escalation for complex Employee Relations issues, providing guidance and resolution strategies.
- Policy development: oversee the development and consistent implementation of Employee Relations policies and procedures across all regions.
- Conflict resolution: support Regional HR Managers in addressing and resolving high-level employee conflicts and grievances.
- Compliance: ensure compliance with local labour laws and employment regulations in all operating regions.
- Managers training on local labour law: ensure that managers across the organization receive support and training on local labour law matters.
- Performance management: ensure that managers across the organization receive support and training on Performance Improvement Plans and when necessary, on proper exit procedures.
- Create and deliver global Employment Relations training for HR and Managers
HR Operations
- HR strategy implementation: implement and manage HR operational plans that align with the organization’s strategic objectives.
- Salesforce HR ticketing system: develop and implement best practices for ticket management and resolution and monitor the use of the system to ensure it supports the efficient resolution of HR inquiries and requests.
- HR Operations SLAs: establish, monitor, and enforce SLAs related to HR Operations and Employee Relations. Implement corrective actions and process improvements when SLA targets are not achieved.
- Onboarding: ensure standardized and effective recruitment and onboarding processes across all regions.
- Local benefits: in cooperation with the compensation and benefits team, oversee the administration of benefits programs, ensuring alignment with local benchmark and organizational goals.
Leadership and Mentorship
- Team leadership: lead and manage the regional HR managers, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
- Mentorship and coaching: act as a mentor and coach for the regional HR team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing hr community.
- Change management: lead HR-related change initiatives, ensuring effective communication and minimizing disruption.
- Stakeholder management: collaborate with senior leaders to align HR strategies with business objectives.
- Organizational development: support organizational change and development initiatives to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Cross-functional projects: collaborate on cross-functional projects, providing HR expertise and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Ad hoc:
- Provide coverage and support by stepping in to fulfil the duties of Regional HR Managers during their absence or unavailability.
