Position Overview:

As the DevOps Lead, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the tools and infrastructure that enable our engineering teams to deliver high-quality software efficiently. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement the best DevOps practices and tooling solutions, ensuring a seamless and automated software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

System Administration:

A DevOps engineer with having experience with system administration activities like below:

· Provisioning and managing servers,

· Deploying databases,

· Security monitoring,

· System patching, and

· Managing internal and external network connectivity.

Experience with DevOps tools:

· Must understand, and be able to use, a variety of tools. These tools span the DevOps lifecycle from infrastructure and building, to monitoring and operating a product or service.

Continuous integration and continuous Delivery (CI/CD):

· Function of any CI/CD tool or set of tools is to automate the process of building, testing, and deploying software.

System architecture and provisioning:

· Ability to design, provision, and manage computer ecosystems, whether on-premises or in the cloud A DevOps engineer should understand how to model system infrastructure in the cloud with Amazon Web Services (AWS), AWS CloudFormation, or Terraform.

Collaborative management skills:

· The DevOps engineer should work across the organization as coach and co-worker, with many different people.

Nice to have:

Security engineer:

· Organizations that haven’t embraced the notion of fully integrating security and compliance concerns into their planning and development processes will often have an individual or team that is responsible for security. This often proves to be

an antipattern because it makes security an afterthought, and it is much harder to secure software after it has been designed, built, and deployed than it is to design with security in mind

Familiarity with coding and scripting:

· Good to have with experience writing shell scripts to automate repetitive tasks. If he has ability to go beyond writing automation scripts and understand advanced software development practices and how to implement agile development practices such as code reviews and using source control is advantages.

Going beyond a single role:

· A DevOps engineer, but a mix of generalists and specialists to work closely with each other to implement DevOps and improve the software development lifecycle. A DevOps engineer helps to break down silos to facilitate collaboration among different experts and across toolchains to realize the full promise of DevOps.

Experience and Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent

· Total of 6-9 years of experience in the Engineering Team working to develop, test, release, deploy, monitor and any other release related activities.

· Proven experience of at least 3 years as a DevOps Tooling lead or in a similar role.

· Strong expertise in managing the tooling needs of for Engineering teams

· Experience with tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Bitbucket, CVS, Atlassian tools like Jira and Confluence, JFrog, Security toolset, Monitoring and reporting, AWS or Azure, etc.

· Solid understanding of infrastructure-as-code (IaC) principles.

· Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).

· Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

· Security-focused mindset with knowledge of secure coding practices.

· Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

· Certification in DevOps preferred
