Job Title: Senior Creative Designer
The Senior Creative Design position is an upper-level creative team role, working with other Designers, Interns and the Creative Director on a variety of projects and assignments. Assignments primarily come from the Creative Director. The ideal candidate is a proactive individual, with well-developed critical thinking skills, who can process, react to, and solve problems in a timely manner as they arise.
As a Senior Creative Designer, you will play a crucial role in shaping and executing visually appealing and impactful design solutions aligned to the Keyloop visual brand. As part of the Creative team, you will be responsible for translating creative concepts into compelling visual assets across various mediums, capturing the essence of the Keyloop brand and delivering engaging experiences for our target audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design Management, Guidance and Collaboration
· Guide and advise fellow team members in both the creative process and client management to foster stronger working relationships and solutions (creative designer, interns, etc.)
· Supervise creative designers, responsible for assigning tasks, overseeing and coaching on creative process, and ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery of projects.
· Collaborate cross-team internally with Keyloop stakeholders, as well as with clients, agencies and suppliers to conceptualize and execute creative solutions that can be translated across various media platforms
· Work closely with the Creative Director (or project lead) to deliver solutions within timeframes and budget.
2. Conceptualisation and Design:
· Develop innovative and original design concepts that align with project goals and the Keyloop brand identity.
· Create visually striking layouts, graphics, and multimedia elements for both digital and print mediums.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into design solutions.
3. Visual Identity and Branding:
· Maintain and evolve the visual identity of the brand, ensuring consistency across all design materials.
· Produce brand guidelines and design templates that uphold the brand's visual standards.
4. Digital Design:
· Design website interfaces, user interfaces (UI), and user experiences (UX) that enhance usability and engagement.
· Develop eye-catching digital assets for social media, email campaigns, online ads, and other digital marketing efforts.
5. Print Design:
· Design print materials such as brochures, flyers, posters, banners, and packaging that communicate messages effectively.
6. Illustration and Artwork:
· Create original illustrations and artwork that enhance storytelling and visual appeal.
7. Typography and Layout:
· Expertly handle typography and layout to create visually pleasing compositions that enhance readability and aesthetics.
8. Multimedia and Motion Graphics:
1. Design storyboards for animations, motion graphics, and video elements to convey complex messages in an engaging and succinct manner.
2. Motion graphic/animation experience is desirable, but not required.
9. Collaboration and Communication:
· Work closely with copywriters, marketing teams, and other stakeholders to ensure design aligns with content and objectives.
· Effectively present and communicate design concepts and rationale to both internal teams and clients.
10. Market Research and Trends:
· Stay up to date with design trends, emerging technologies, and industry developments to ensure designs are innovative and relevant.
Qualifications, Skills, Experience:
· A minimum of 5-7 years of design experience in an in-house creative department or design firm.
· Strong creative, organisational, problem-solving and time-management skills.
· Expert knowledge in graphic production process.
· Able to take projects from start to finish with minimal supervision.
· Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Fine Arts, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
· Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of design work across different mediums.
· Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant tools.
· Solid understanding of design principles, typography, colour theory, and layout techniques.
· Experience in creating responsive web designs and understanding of UI/UX principles is a plus. Experience in using Figma is desired.
· Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and convey design concepts clearly.
