Purpose of the Role :
As part of the Finance team that supports the Global Head of Professional Services ( “Business Leader”), the Finance Business Partner – PS (“FBP”) provides both financial and commercial expertise to the Business Leader(s) they support. The FBP is expected to act as the ‘right hand’ to their business leader(s), helping drive performance management and optimised results in line with Keyloop’s Operating Plan and Strategy.
Whilst the role functionally reports up within Finance an exceedingly strong dotted line exists with their Business Leader due to the hands-on expectation to running the business.
The FBP will have a team of Finance Business Partners / Analysts (“Functional Team”) that will help in delivering their overall objectives and will be responsible for recruiting and retaining the talent required.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Understanding, interpreting, explaining & driving business performance in terms of:
  • - costs for the Professional Services (“PS”) function ("the Function") and
  • - ARR and NRR installs across Keyloop
  • Owner of the financial narrative and linkage to the business narrative for the Function and reported bookings across Keyloop
  • Leading financial planning, forecasting and business reviews to ensure Keyloop has a credible, joined-up and quantifiable plan to execute its strategy
  • Working with the Directors who report into the Business Leader and owing the financial forecast for labour and non-labour costs for the Function as also the financial implications of the critical initiatives relevant to the Function
  • Evaluating, reviewing and approving business decisions, monitoring on- going projects to ensure benefits are tracked & realized for the Function
  • Developing and maintaining models that forecast installs based on the evolution of the backlog
  • Development of strong interpersonal relationships with Business Controllers and wider finance team(s) to ensure they are fully aware of business aspects relevant to the Function
  • Ensuring Central Finance Teams are fully appraised on financial and operational performance, risks & opportunities relevant to the Function
  • Communicator & advocate for business compliance with Finance/ internal processes and controls for the Function
  • Supporting where appropriate financial aspects of commercial negotiations with customers especially relating to pricing and other commercial aspects resulting in successful deal closure
  • Closely aligned with PS Ops teams in monitoring billability, the linkage to actual revenues recognized and reporting thereon every month

  • Able to apply sound financial analysis to support decision making
  • Able to model and/or critically evaluate businesses cases, including relevant support on Deal Review Boards (DRBs) as needed
  • Able to plan, coordinate, and execute an efficient and effective forecasting / annual operating plan cycle looking at leading indicators
  • Able to run and maintain Keyloop wide metrics relating to Installs and reporting deviations thereon
  • Able to adopt best in class reporting capabilities using tools such as Power BI or Tableau in giving insight on performance to the Business
  • Able to propose clear practical action steps in crafting solutions to business problems
  • Able to focus on cause & effect relationships in observable factors
  • Able to focus on functional cost efficiencies and identify opportunities to improve performance
  • Ability to gain insight into project profitability and reporting thereon regularly
  • Leadership
  • Able to clearly articulate the Roles and Responsibilities of the Functional Team
  • Regularly monitor team performance with timely feedback and follow-up
  • Relationship Focus
  • Able to clearly and regularly communicate with the Directors that report into the Business Leader as also the HR Business Partner
  • Work with remote teams (our BSC in Prague & India)
  • Close co-ordination with other finance functions such as Procurement (addressing cost control/reduction)
