Purpose of the role
The primary purpose of the SEO Executive is to be the driving force behind the organic search success of our most valuable clients across diverse international markets.
This strategic, client-facing role is responsible for the end-to-end creation, implementation, and management of advanced SEO and AI search strategies, directly translating into measurable improvements in organic and AI search visibility, targeted traffic, and lead generation for top-tier automotive customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute bespoke, cutting-edge SEO strategies, integrating AI-driven search optimisation techniques, to dominate organic and AI search results for our highest-profile customers.
- International Performance: Take ownership of SEO and AI search performance across various country-specific websites, leveraging international expertise to ensure strategies are localised and highly effective in diverse automotive markets.
- Client Communication & Partnership: Act as the main SEO point of contact for top customers. This includes clearly and confidently delivering complex strategy, technical recommendations, and detailed performance reports. The role demands exceptional communication skills to explain key SEO concepts, build trust, and ensure client goals are met.
- Continuous Improvement: Maintain a deep and current understanding of search engine algorithm updates, the evolving role of generative AI in search, and automotive market trends. Proactively apply this knowledge to continuously refine strategies and ensure our clients maintain a competitive edge.
This role requires a blend of deep technical SEO knowledge, commercial awareness, and outstanding interpersonal skills to directly impact the success of our most important customer accounts.
Role & Responsibilities
- Create and execute an SEO and AI search strategy across our premier customer set
- Ability to present SEO strategy and performance data to stakeholders throughout an organisation
- Work with the SEO Manager to create new solutions and initiatives needed to evolve and elevate the service that we provide our customers
- Support the wider marketing services team to create custom SEO strategies for our customers
- Using tools such as GA4 and Looker Studio, analyse and report on customers’ SEO and AI search performance
- Contribute to ongoing efforts to refine and streamline internal SEO processes, sharing feedback and suggestions for greater efficiency and effectiveness
- Attend client status calls, monthly business reviews and quarterly business reviews where required
- Proactively identify and suggest new case study material
- Actively research and keep up to date with SEO and marketing-related trends
Skills / Knowledge & Experience
- A minimum of two years’ experience in an SEO Executive or similar role
- Knowledge in all areas of SEO including technical, off-site and on-page
- Working knowledge of Screaming Frog, Semrush and/or Ahrefs
- Working knowledge of Google Business Profile and local SEO practices
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of a technical subject in an easy-to-understand manner
- Experience using Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
- Experience using SEO reporting tools such as Looker Studio
- Strong digital skills and proficient with Microsoft Office
