We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager to lead technical transformation initiatives across our global operations. This role offers the opportunity to make an immediate impact on critical infrastructure projects while working with cutting-edge technology platforms.
Position Summary
As a Project Manager in Infrastructure, you will be responsible for managing large-scale infrastructure transformation projects including datacentre migrations, network upgrades, and platform consolidations. You will work closely with international teams, third-party vendors, and senior stakeholders to deliver projects that drive operational efficiency and support business growth.
Responsibilities:
Project Leadership:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of complex infrastructure projects from concept through planning, execution, and closure
- Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies
- Coordinate multiple parallel workstreams across technical disciplines
Infrastructure & Technical Management:
- Oversee datacentre migration and consolidation projects involving thousands of virtual machines and physical devices
- Manage network infrastructure projects including fibre, virtualisation, and connectivity upgrades
- Lead application transformation initiatives and platform modernisation efforts
- Ensure compliance with industry standards including PCI, ITIL, and cyber security frameworks
Stakeholder & Vendor Management:
- Build and maintain effective relationships with senior stakeholders across multiple business units
- Manage relationships with major outsource technology partners (e.g., TCS, Accenture, Cognizant, IBM)
- Coordinate activities across onshore and offshore delivery teams
- Present project status, risks and recommendations to executive leadership
Problem Resolution & Risk Management:
- Analyse complex technical issues and develop viable solution options
- Implement robust risk management and mitigation strategies
- Lead incident resolution during critical migration and deployment activities
- Manage overnight release events and business continuity requirements
Skills & Experience - Technical Expertise:
- Extensive experience in datacentre operations, migrations, and consolidations
- Deep understanding of network infrastructure, virtualisation, and server technologies
- Knowledge of application development lifecycle and transformation methodologies
- Experience with PCI compliance and cyber security frameworks
- Familiarity with cloud migration strategies and hybrid infrastructure models
Skills & Experience - Leadership & Communication:
- Proven ability to manage large, distributed teams across multiple time zones
- Strong stakeholder management skills with experience presenting to C-level executives
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities with analytical approach to complex challenges
- Experience managing third-party vendor relationships and contract negotiations
Skills & Experience - Desirable Experience:
- MSP (Management of Successful Programmes) certification highly desirable
- ITIL Foundation certification
- Background in telecommunications, financial services, or retail technology environments
- Experience with major technology platform upgrades (Oracle, Microsoft, middleware)
- Knowledge of disaster recovery and business continuity planning
- Track record of delivering operational cost savings through infrastructure optimisation
Qualifications:
- PMP or PRINCE2 certification essential
