As part of the Finance team that supports our VP Infrastructure and Cloud Services, the Finance Business Partner provides both financial and commercial expertise to the business Leaders they support. The FBP is expected to act as the ‘right hand’ to their business leaders, helping to deliver on Keyloop’s Cloud strategy.
Whilst the role functionally reports up within Finance an exceedingly strong dotted line exists with their Business Leaders due to the hands-on expectation to running the business.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Understanding, interpreting, explaining & driving business performance in terms of:
- Profitability improvements and highlighting unhealthy cloud costs growth that is not driven by increased user case or digital capabilities
- Tracking of Cloud Transformation financials
- Tracking of spend against spending commitment
- Tracking of spend against special projects allocation
- Owner of the financial narrative and linkage to the business narrative for the Infrastructure and Cloud Business Unit
- Leading financial planning, forecasting and business reviews for the business unit to ensure Keyloop has a credible, joined-up and quantifiable plan to execute its strategy
- Collaborating with the finops team to develop and report on Cloud Performance KPIs
- Evaluating, reviewing and approving business decisions, monitoring on- going projects to ensure benefits are tracked & realized for the business unit
- Development of strong interpersonal relationships with Business Controllers and wider finance team(s) to ensure they are fully aware of business aspects relevant to the business unit including alignment on IFRS reporting of our Cloud and Data Centre costs
- Ensuring Central Finance Teams are fully appraised on financial and operational performance, risks & opportunities relevant to the business unit
- Communicator & advocate for business compliance with Finance/ internal processes and controls for the Function
- Hosted and Cloud Revenue
- Data Centre Costs
- Public Cloud costs at the level of granularity required to support product
- Able to apply sound financial analysis to support decision making
- Able to model and/or critically evaluate businesses cases
- Able to plan, coordinate, and execute an efficient and effective forecasting /annual operating plan cycle looking at leading indicators
- Able to propose clear practical action steps in crafting solutions to business problems
- Able to run and maintain Keyloop wide metrics relating to Infrastructure and Cloud Services
- Able to interpret SAAS metrics
- Able to focus on functional cost efficiencies and identify opportunities to improve performance
- Ability to gain insight into leading indicators for cost overruns and work closely with the Function to remedy the same
- Nature and level of contacts within/outside the organization:
- Able to clearly and regularly communicate with business leaders that report into the VP Infrastructure and Cloud Services as also the HR Business Partner
- Work with remote teams (our BSC in Prague)
