Job Description
As an Data Editorial Technician, you will work within the centralised group data team working on the distribution of predominantly vehicle datasets. By working in the central data service as a Data Editorial Technician, your role is predominantly oriented around ensuring high data quality, accuracy and timely availability.
As part of your duties, you will be required to analyse the accuracy of the vehicle data within your remit and work to improve it; either by escalating inaccuracies to appropriate stakeholders or third parties, or by embellishing the data within group-approved tooling.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting the efficient and consistent importing and availability of vehicle datasets
Completing data processes that other teams are dependent on in a timely manner, focusing on clear communication with interested stakeholders and striving for high-quality and completeness in the data
Continually improving team processes and working practices in pursuit of higher quality data
Researching third-party or creating first-party datasets to supplement or augment existing datasets (e.g., to address gaps in data by either sourcing another provider to plug those gaps, or creating and maintaining a new dataset to do so)
Generating reports or documentation for customers, third parties or internal stakeholders as required
Documenting processes (or SOPs) for commonly performed tasks to assist with the training of other Data Editorial Technicians or to support the training/handover of any applicable tasks to Technical Support, or to aid business continuity as a general theme.
Working with Product Owners/Managers and the Software Engineering community to identify/rationalise product improvements where relevant
Supporting colleagues on calls or in meetings with clients, partners and suppliers as required
You will work in support of the group Data Engineering function to identify areas for improvement and work with engineers to implement workable, scalable, and automated solutions to currently manual tasks. You should work in alignment with the Keyloop data culture of adopting an automation-first mindset.
